  1. GM adopts Tesla's NACS standard! Munro begs Rivian to switch

Yes, I think VW leadership will green light the change as well. The big question. With changes coming in 2025 who is going to purchase a BEV with the soon to be obsolete charging port? You will need a Tesla charging adapter similar to what I use. We also own a Tesla Model Y and share the...
  2. Just reserved a Volvo EX30 for the wife

Volvo needs to offer an EX30 “R” version for auto enthusiasts. Add wheels, lower profile tires, better performance, lowered suspension, sport seats, etc. It would be the first GTI sized BEV hot hatch to hit the market.
  3. GM adopts Tesla's NACS standard! Munro begs Rivian to switch

Stellantis should be the domino to fall. I expect an announcement very shortly.
  4. GM adopts Tesla's NACS standard! Munro begs Rivian to switch

We have never encountered an inoperable Tesla Supercharger in over 2-years of Model Y ownership. It’s a superior charging network. With the leaked Cybertruck production info by a supplier today, 375,000 CT’s a year, it’s going to get interesting in the BEV pickup space. The Cybertruck delivery...
  5. Our R1S keeps having problems - now the rear wiper

Wait until the Cybertruck starts shipping in early September.
  6. Rivian’s R1T Same Day Sales Event

Service appointments are 2-months out at the Costa Mesa SC. They even added a 2nd shift for technicians. Rivian has outgrown the location.
  7. Review From Former Owner & Future Owner + What I Want in R1.2

Vampire battery drain. Even after all of the software updates I’m still losing 4 miles per day when parked.
  8. Our R1S keeps having problems - now the rear wiper

Rivian has outgrown their Costa Mesa, CA location. Service appointments are at least 8-weeks out and that’s after adding a 2nd shift for technicians.
  9. Rivian's pricing problem... how do they solve it?

I follow every R1T auction on Cars & Bids and BAT. Resale values are definitely trending down. R1T’s are currently selling in the mid $70’s. Out of curiously I took my December delivered 2022 R1T for an appraisal from CarMax in January this year. The only option on my truck are the 20” AT...
  10. Paint issue on rear roof. (Painted rubber seal?)

This is one area of the truck where the R1T disappoints from a QA standpoint.
  11. Ineos Grenadier drive event

I confirmed my Ineos reservation yesterday. I chose a Scottish White truck with tinted glass and heated seats as the only options. The BMW B58 3.0 liter engine and German 8-speed tranny were a great powertrain choice. Both units are nearly bulletproof. The 3.0 inline six cylinder engine is...
  12. What's the point of PDI?

I think my R1T was PDI’d by Stevie Wonder. I found numerous body panel fitment issues upon delivery. The entire drivers side had wonky panel alignment. It took my local SC two days to align all of the panels back to Rivian assembly tolerances.
  13. Leaked photos of CyberTruck Interior

Tesla has take the Cybertruck minimalist interior to the extreme: -steering wheel -15” display -accelerator pedal -brake pedal Not a stalk or HUD in sight. Tesla is betting on FSD to become a reality where the occupants are transported around autonomously.
  14. New tax for EV's in Texas

Texans will now be paying $.57 cents per day to the state, $4.00 per week, for the privilege of owning a BEV.
  15. 2024 TACOMA - Here It Is - ICE & Hybrid Competitor! ?

Based just on styling alone I predict Toyota has a winner. The new Pro looks awesome. The new air suspension seats look very interesting. They will make off-roading more comfortable for front passengers if they work as advertised. I bet Toyota hikes Pro pricing to the mid $50s. Toyota...
  16. RJ: I love our Mobile Service Vans

Much more practical than the converted R1T trucks. I’m not crazy about the rear graphic however.
