We use our Model Y charging cord to charge both of our BEVās. I simply use a charging adapter when plugging in our R1T. I leave the Rivian charging cable in the frunk.
The Tesla Supercharging network is awesome. In almost 2.5 years we have only encountered one Supercharger that was non operational.
Iāve had my R1T in for service 2x at the CM SC. Both appointments were 8-weeks out.
They have outgrown the building and thatās with adding an additional shift for technicians. They do seem to have gotten deliveries down to a science however.
In January R1Tās weāre selling for around $80k.
Right now R1Tās are selling in the mid $70ās. They are on a downward trend. I watch every R1T sale on Cars & Bids and BAT.
I feel that finding the root cause of the annoying noise would be rather simple. The fix may involve something more complex however. I wouldnāt want a SC tech tearing apart my brand new dash or battery pack to fix the issue.
$1800 is crazy pricing for 4 slats and a storage bag.
Rivian missed an huge opportunity. They could have designed the slats to do double duty as a camp table.
I can guarantee that the aftermarket/entrepreneur will soon offer folding legs that will turn the slat(s) into an awesome camping table.
Simply looking at the caliper and badges will differentiate a Dual from a Quad Motor.
I can see a lot of Dual Motor owners swapping emblems and painting their calipers yellow.
Rivian is a new company and struggling in certain areas. I feel exterior fit and finish is one area that needs improvement, especially at the new price point.
Go with your gut. Itās rarely wrong.
My opinion? At the āoldā pricing I felt the Quad motor R1T with the no charge Ocean Coast interior was a decent value.
I never would have purchased my R1T under the new Rivian pricing structure. Itās simply too expensive for what you get.
I fully agree. Only so many consumers can afford to purchase a $75k + vehicle with current interest rates.
Once all of the pre-March 2022 reservation holders get their vehicles we will see a real slump in demand.
The government is butting in on Tesla charging adoption. More to follow.
