A lot of the LG trucks are over $80k MSRP and are tough to move.
Even if the upcoming $50k Dual Motor Cybertruck gets a 40% price increase, which it won’t, it will still MSRP for under $70k. This will undercut R1T and Lightning pricing and put a dent is sales and effectively cause some...
I do agree with the 20” tire road noise. It’s a great looking OEM wheel and tire but the noise and lower battery range makes the stock 21” wheels a tempting proposition.
Unacceptable vampire drain is my #1 R1T ownership complaint.
Rivian doesn’t appear motivated to address the issue or it’s a major technical challenge for its engineering team.
You're spot on. Musk is the king of marketing products with a zero advertising budget. He lets others get the word out. When revised pricing is announced it will be covered by nearly every media outlet on the planet.
The term 30x is used for marketing purposes. The average Joe thinks the...
Here is a leaked photo of what the Cybertruck looks like under the skin.
Tesla vehicle engineers were thinking outside of the box. The cab appears to be quite conventional while rear section is all cast aluminum.
My guess is the main exoskeleton will be reduced to 2mm thickness. The front fenders and hood will be even thinner.
Why? Affordability, vehicle weight and crash worthiness.
SS and the unique aluminum Giga casting are two of the reasons it's taking nearly 4-years to get the truck into production. Space X engineers have a lot of experience working with stainless steel.
I think their toughest engineering challenge was making the stainless steel front end yield in a...
The one thing I am curious about is the SS exoskeleton. For weight and affordability reasons I am curious to see if Tesla will stick with 3mm, nearly 1/8" thick, stainless steel that supposedly was on the Cybertruck concept truck.
A lot of hate towards the Cybertruck as expected on a Rivian forum. I own an R1T but I also have a 2nd day CT reservation.
If the CT is priced around $80k I will be taking delivery and selling my Rivian. The super durable SS exterior is the clincher for me.
The SS exterior is virtually immune...
Me? I would lemon law the vehicle or ask for a replacement. Once the service center completes major R & R of parts to get access the truck will never be the same.
I concur with your choice. We have had our 2021 Model Y DM for just over 2-years now and it’s been awesome.
We paid $48,990 plus $2k for the black 20” Induction wheels. Zero issues over 32k minus a loose rear view mirror.
I fully understand your decision. Spending $80k on a vehicle is a want...
I like the new Beta CT styling. It’s been tweaked ever so slightly over the years and the Cybertruck is now 5% smaller than the original concept truck. The air suspension canisters are huge compared to an R1T.
