Same - grabbed one from the shop: LG/BM/22. Our VIN ends in 1596 which seems waaay earlier than the couple others I've seen today. Not sure what the story is with this vehicle, or how concerned I should be about such an early VIN.
Our VIN ends in 001596. Now that I'm reviewing other posts on this site, our VIN looks like a really early one. Should I conclude that this vehicle was produced pretty early on (the 1,596th R1S) and just sat around for a while, or was possible returned by someone else who didn't want it?
Awesome! Same here. VIN came in almost instantly and 8 steps opened up.
One slight disappointment: the VIN is for a 2022 model year (which has previously been documented on this forum). We're keeping the vehicle for a while so while I would have preferred 2023, it's not a show stopper for us...
I didn't have a guide before shop access. Received an email about shop access and then checked my account to see that a guide had been assigned. Didn't get an intro email from guide (or rather, automated email addressed from guide) until I confirmed my config in the shop today.
Speculation, but...
Sorry, I was so excited to see the inventory (I've been checking incessently every day for the last week) and knew that cars disappear within minutes, that I locked in a configuration I was okay with and lost access to the shop before I could take pics. Sent my short message to get the word out...
Don't definitively know, but I'm assuming through the friends and family program. A family member let them know I was flexible on my config back in early December '22 and I heard nothing back until the Shop access last week.
Haven't seen any Red Canyon yet (though I'd be all over that!). There was a Rivian Blue with OC interior on Friday morning - it seemed to disappear in minutes (certainly faster than my ability to mull how bad my kids would mess up the OC interior!). Don't recall exactly, but it may have been on...
Got Shop access last Tuesday (3/14) and saw a guide assigned there at the same time. My guide says she was assigned as a result of getting access, not because my delivery date was near.
I asked my guide if/when my shop access might expire. She told me that it only ends when you either choose something from the shop, or when a VIN is assigned. Based on that I'm thinking your VIN has been assigned, they just haven't sent the email notifying you.
I saw some inventory last week on Tuesday evening (when I got shop access), then Wednesday, and then again on Friday. On both Wednesday and Friday the new adds were gone in about 5-10 minutes. Since then there has just been a single LG/FG R1S out there.
Long time lurker, first time poster. Agree with you that there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason. I was granted access to the R1S shop on Tuesday evening and at the time saw about 7 vehicles, all LG. That wasn't my initial color choice so I had to (foolishly) stew on it a bit. By the time I...
