I have owned my R1T exactly one month as of today. I noticed some vampire drain but never documented the loss until yesterday.
I plugged in and charged to 85% yesterday. It’s been sitting idle in my carport and today I decided to document the vampire drain.
In just over 24 hours I have lost 7...
Ours arrived today.
I installed them and here are some pics. Happy camper here, they fit like a glove. We have them in our Model Y and they are holding up great.

Let‘s hope Rivian makes this a priority for their engineers next year. This amount of energy loss is unacceptable. Vampire drain is a non issue for Ford Lightning owners.
I have pressed numerous employees at my SC regarding ordering a spare tire. They all promised me it’s coming in early 2023 due to overwhelming demand from new owners.
The quad motor is overkill. The upcoming 600 or 700 hp Dual Motor version will be more than adequate for the vast majority of buyers. Also, less to go wrong after the warranty expires.
