I downloaded the latest software update this afternoon.
We also own a Tesla and I am still amazed with over the air update technology. We drive rolling computers on wheels?
No photo, but I just hauled a sheet of 4ā x 10ā 5/8ā thick sheet rock home this afternoon. My R1T hauled it home like a champ thanks to Rivianās unique gooseneck tailgate hinge. Itās extends the bed length from 4.5ā to 7ā.
One of my favorite features of my R1T is the Ocean Coast interior. In my nearly 2-year wait I never changed my interior configuration. Itās light, bright and makes the interior feel larger.
I had a 2022 Ford Lightning that I sold after 3-months. During my 12-weeks of ownership it would lose 1-2 miles PER WEEK.
I am looking forward to improved vampire loss numbers from Rivian engineers in future updates.
My week old R1T (VIN 139xx) feels tight with no squeaks, rattles or wind noise.
The panel alignment is near perfect on the passenger side and tailgate.
The drivers side is a different story. I have SC appointment for next month.
You can buy a lot of nice vehicles for $80k. The R1T is is a good value at the old pricing, not so much at the new pricing. I would not have purchased my R1T at the current price point.
Rivian does offer a 7-day/1k mile return policy if things donāt work out. Best of luckā¦
It seems as though Rivian is following the Tesla formula of just kicking trucks out of the factory and letting the SCās follow up with panel alignment issues, wind noise, cocked steering wheels, etc.
