Thank you @Dark-Fx for catching this! I had resigned myself to missing out on the credit after talking with my tax preparer last month. Now I have a glimmer of hope. :fingerscrossed:
This is the second piece of good news for today. The first being that my truck has finally arrived and delivery...
I have also mulled the idea of various composite materials given that they would be easy to work with. I question whether they will be stable enough though. In my experience composite tends to warp in the sun. I think that is why composite decking requires more supporting joists than traditional...
I have also had this experience in my Silverado. Came home from the hardware store. 10-15 min later a passerby rings the bell and the truck is in the middle of the road.
After that I noticed it helps to put the transfer case in 4-wheel high rather than āautoā because then the front wheels are...
For those of you that have installed a DIY tonneau cover, I am curious if you have seen a range/efficiency improvement. In theory it should make a difference. What is the reality?

Seems like the CT influenced the REV conceptās unique features. The midgate and frunk pass through were the standouts that got my attention. Too bad the fun stuff doesnāt seem to be making it to the production vehicle.

Rivian Hires Michael Callahan as Chief Legal Officer
IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Rivian Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ: RIVN) today announced it has hired Michael Callahan as its Chief Legal Officer. Callahan is joining Rivian...
I wouldnāt count on that. I got on the F150L waiting list in Dec ā21. It has been radio silence since then. The dealer did send me a message a year later to say they had a couple of leftover vehicles available for the special price of only $10k over MSRP.
As I recall the "cash for clunkers" program back in 2009 addressed this by requiring proof of registration and insurance going back a couple of years. I recall having to go to DMV for a proof of registration report before trading in my '93 Grand Cherokee.
Yep, no dice. Figured it couldnāt hurt to ask.
Almost caved and picked a white truck from the shop yesterday. Glad I didnāt because the 8-step for my original config opened up this morning. So I am on to the next phase of the waiting game.
Exactly what I was wondering. Since tow mode is enabled by plugging in a trailer electrical connector, would a cheap test plug like this also enable tow mode?

Congrats! I saw that truck today and my heart skipped a beat. Almost perfect... I am set on a BM interior though. Oh well, back to obsessively scrolling the shop...
I also got shop access yesterday. I guess the Jan preorder + 11/11 guide assignment folks made it to the front of the line. Only seeing black and white trucks in the shop. Both of which are colors I have ruled out. Tempted by one of the white ones to save a few $ās on paint color. But I figure...
+1 for checking the dealer markup.
I also plunked down $100 to get on the F150L waiting list in Dec 2021. Still no "time to order" email but I did get an email last month from the dealer saying they had a couple of Lariat models available. Both had the smaller battery which is a no-go for me...
Woke up this morning to an email from Rivian saying that spare tire purchases are being moved to the gear shop and that the spare is being removed from my config. Seems to support the insight regarding the shortage noted above. Sounds like they are making this change to get more trucks out the door.
Yep. In reality the three chain control levels in CA are: no controls, R2, and closed. Which makes it feel like a waste to buy a pair of snow socks that will never get used. In the end I suspect I will cave and buy a pair.
