All good suggestions. . . in addition to PlugShare try ABRP. I am planning a trip from CT to Wis in July and using that for lunch/charging and overnight/charging stops as well as enroute charging. I also included Tesla chargers hoping I will have my adaptor by then. We have had successful...
So the issue is then paying for a third party adaptor that may damage your vehicle vs. waiting for Rivian to send out an adaptor for free? I think I will wait, especially after the warning this morning, but that is my choice, not to degrade or harm my system. My worry is excess heat and fire...
The concern is the in vehicle warning from Rivian this morning on the center screen to only use the approved adaptor or you run the risk of damaging your vehicle.
Ahhh, ok, good to know, you have to trick it through a work around telling it is a Ford . . .gotcha. Thought RJ said in the R2/R3 debut that they were shipping out this month . . .
OMG first time using! SO EXCITING. Pretty easy to get set-up in Tesla app. Maxed out at 217kW charging, so fast. This is a game changer for me and the idea of road tripping.
From what I have read those sites are trying to sell you a third party adaptor that will not work. Only the Rivian/Tesla adaptors they are sending out will work and are authorized to be used.
YES!! Found a Magic Dock, the only one in CT, or right across the border in Brewster NY and used it . SOOO FAST to charge and so easy to get set up on the Tesla app. Good news both the Rivian and Tesla app's tell you how to use them either with the magic doc adapter or your own.
This was from me backing up. Initial estimate at Rivian Authorized in Hartford CT was $8K and would not do PDR (paintless dent removal) took to PDR specialist in Danbury CT and orig est was $4.5 but ended up being $2.6 once he got inside. Good Luck!
Agreed, sunny day and i drive into my garage and they will swipe. Low and medium auto still each over and under wipe. So I have not found a benefit to the multiple auto settings.
I get a reminder from my ChargePoint to plug and then I leave it overnight but I don't lock it at home in the garage. Or open the port from the inside when I park and plug n play overnight. Then unplug when I leave next day and the doors auto shuts when you put in gear.
+15000 miles and a tire rotation and two minor, truly, recalls that took 10mins to fix all three items done with a service call in my driveway. I am tall and the seat tends to squeak a bit which I have seen in the forum but other than that it is amazing. To buy a start-up EV you have to have...
Hi, just wondering if anyone else is suffering from squeaky seats from the shoulder area, the vinyl. As my torso rides the bumps in everyday driving the the seat squeaks constantly. Seems to be coming from shoulder area in that curved area on the back rest. I have R1T Ocean Coast interior...
Question? Has anyone take a road trip along the I 80 corridor? I am potentially driving from Connecticut to Western Wisconsin in my Rivian R1T and was wondering how was charging in general? Hotels with charging? How much additional time it will take based on someone’s experience with charge...
