Could someone explain why you would use a fob? Ours never leaves the house. We use our phones to perform all fob services and my wife and I each carry a card in case our phone is lost or the battery dies. The only time I can see carrying the fob is if I was going to use valet parking.
Same here. And they are taking a two hour boat ride to get to me. They recently rescheduled me so I assume they are going to service some of the dozen or so Rivians on the island.
Maybe I'm over-thinking this, but has anyone changed out the phone for the Owner? Is it a big deal or do you just delete the Bluetooth connection and pair the new one? My concern is that when we picked it up the "Owner" was a big deal (which bugs my wife because it's her truck but my phone was...
I wonder what percentage of the drivers of vehicles with the self-park feature actually use it. My guess is a minuscule number. We had it for 6 years and never used it. I think there are more practical features where development $$$ would be better spent.
Just make sure you have the Rivian app installed on your phone and have your delivery person walk you through connecting your phone with the vehicle as the Owner. If you will have another driver, have their phone connected too if they are with you.
Guess I got lucky. Configured an R1T and the web site said maybe there is something available that’s close and showed them to us. We found one and got a text from our “local” delivery center asking us if we wanted to pick it up in three days. Worked out great
If it truly fits what you want, why don’t you set up shipping to SoCal then take delivery in Hawall and have it shipped home. I’m guessing you’ll need to rent something for a month or so.
I can’t get over how the guy wants Tesla buy it back “Because he needs the money” but invokes the “quality not up to par” as a reason. The butthead should have to abide by his contract.
So it looks like your vehicle doesn’t think it has the Performance option but your app does. Really interesting but agreed it should be a software fix.
My dual performance has Sport. Maybe check your vehicle information and confirm Performance. You can see it in the app under Vehicle Information->Drive System. Should say Performance Dual-motor AWD.
I wouldn’t be surprised if you are also missing Sand mode.
I’m sure I’m just missing something, but can’t you do everything from the Rivian app? I never hooked my phone to my Rivian charger but I can set a schedule, get SOC notifications, change charge rate, etc. from the Rivian app. I’m curious as to what I’m missing.
Check to see if your state or electricity provider will reimburse you for a specific charger. I happened to get a free Rivian charger installed as a Rivian incentive and returned the ChargePoint charger my power company would have paid for.
That’s the nice thing about net metering. Our Enphase installation rolls the meter back when generating and draws from the grid when needed. Because of net metering we buy and sell at the same price so we can charge any time with no penalty and no extra equipment.
