I had previously believed that, but real-world experience says the app needs to be running or able to be started (programmatically). Apparently there is some app-bluetooth integration. The app wouldn't start, just keep showing the fade-in Rivian logo over and over, and my car wouldn't unlock. On...
I got that. My point was that there are multiple ways those of us who are spoiled by walking up to our vehicles and being recognized, only to be disappointed. This was my first time and I'm glad my wife and I always carry a card in our wallet.
Similar lesson here. Parked where there is no cell service. Walked up expecting it to unlock but it didn't. Remembered there app wasn't running but learned the app won't start without first connecting to the R1T. Got my card from my wallet, unlocked the door, and once again was recognized by my...
The latching tab broke on my home charger. Still works fine but I have to press the button to make it stop charging. I'm not sure the latch locked anything, just made sure you press the button to stop the charge before pulling out the connector.

I just reread the thread and it would be interesting to have you point out the "TON of misinformation... on this thread". I thought the posts were pretty accurate and reflected the various programs in place in MA.
Regarding a battery being useless, I'm considering one instead of a propane...
I was wondering why you might want to switch from 21" to 20 AT's. I like the 21" street tire because it's quiet, good in deep sand. and gives better mileage. So basically I have no need to switch and would like to understand what I m missing.
I was thinking the same thing! I am a beach ranger, but don't start beck to work until Tuesday and we drive F-150's on the beach. My wife and I do take our R1T out when I'm not working.
I can see how there is a need for flexibility to optimize the solar benefit, but at $0.29/KwH I sure am glad we have net metering and the $$$ are the same buying or selling.
