  1. Instructions for trim & bumper removal to wrap R1T?

The Rivian-certified collision center that replaced one of my R1S doors had to order trim and a whole host of other parts because he said that Rivian parts are notorious for breaking when attempting to remove them. The two XPEL professional PPF installers that worked on my cars did not take...
  2. Vampire drain - what's the latest battery % loss people are getting?

That SOC loss looks pretty typical, normal. Actually not bad at all with Gear Guard on.
  3. R1S Collision Repair Ordeal

You seem to have had more than a fair share of issues with your Rivians. No point in sticking with a vehicle and company that does not meet your needs. I hope that you find one that does. Rivian service has apparently changed and not for the better. My R1S had the rear pass. door replaced...
  4. 9 days into ownership r1s trimax, not impressed

Boy, this is rich. Clearly, somebody wronged you at some point in your life, maybe as a child. That's a hell of a chip to carry on your shoulder. Feel free to trash anybody posting on here whose comments do not meet your strict guidelines for participating in a forum. Might want to keep in...
  5. Issues with Rivian advice vs America tire advice

Tires on my R1S are wearing out evenly all around, regen set to whatever the higher setting is, cannot remember. Tires on my Model S, also AWD and max regen just rotated; all 4 tires wearing out evenly as well.
  6. 9 days into ownership r1s trimax, not impressed

Perfectly understandable how you feel. Yes, it may take a while for Rivian to address your issues, but Rivian tends to do quite right by its customers. Such is my experience. Hope it all works out well for you.
  7. Paint Defect, Rust, What Is Going On!?

Yes, it offered a loaner through Enterprise, but I declined it because I have other cars. What I did get Rivian to give me was Uber credits to cover getting home when I dropped ot off and to go pick it up. Good luck.
  8. Picked up the DUNE & HVAC already broke!

Oh, yes. SC distance could be worse. Try 298 miles away. I accepted that as part of delivery, and have not had any issues with mine that required SC visit.
  9. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

For me, charging price, my wallet, shall always come first. Everything else around a charger is a far third. To each his own. Reason why my R1S is charged at home and rarely goes on long trips. Or else Tesla chargers only with membership. My Model S with free electricity for life rules for...
  10. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

Best wishes to you as well! If insisting on switching the subject to the so-called value proposition and what apparently matters to you, perhaps you may want to check your calculator and/or computer to make sure that it is working properly. When on long trips: My ICE SUV, 20 gal. tank, 19 MPG...
  11. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

That's fine. For you to want perhaps even a shopping mall where the charger is at, that is. Some of us, on the other hand may not care less about such amenities; all we want is a working dispenser with a cable and connector that I can plug into my EV, and I will take it from there. That's all...
  12. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

The price of energy is the price of energy is the price of energy. It matters not how far you can go or what is costs to drive per mile. An ICE motorcycle, a hybrid, a gas-guzzling SUV all pay the same price for energy. Premium gas? Never purchased premium gas. No better than regular for the...
  13. Solar Panel on Crossbars?

I think the OP should rig up not one but two trailers together like the semi trains you see on the highway. That would be a ton of solar panels getting towed around. Heck, perhaps you could even level 3 DCFC your Rivian off them!!
  14. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

I wonder about that also. I myself do not necessarily care if the place is rather unkept. I too have found a time or two that switching to another charger might be better. At least the Tesla app tells me ahead of time how many stalls are free and a big message pops on my Tesla screen telling...
  15. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

Hey, Mr. Scaringe, is that you? Boy, your hopes for RAN chargers are quite rich. Next thing, you might say that when Rivian comes out with pigs that fly and have Connect+, those will even displace folks already charging at RAN stations. Priority charging for the former. So because this will be...
  16. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

Earth calling malditofman. Earth calling malditofman. Do you read me? You sadly missed the purpose of Branden's video, who I believe is quite the authority in DC fast chargers, btw. "Even at 63 cents that's far less than buying hydrocarbons for most people." This has to be the most...
  17. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

You pay for the convenience? LMAO! At the tune of 500% more than what ICE drivers pay for gas, sure. And, I know, ICE drivers themselves getting gas. Such an inconvenient chore for them!!!!!
  18. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

Tesla supercharger network: ultra reliable, thousands upon thousands of Tesla superchargers. RAN as reliable as Tesla SC network? Well, perhaps not very difficult to accomplish when you only have a handful of charger locations around to worry about.
  19. New Rivian dispensers and non competitive pricing

Nothing in this world. Indeed, nothing in the universe beats the glorious Tesla supercharger network, full stop. Not-for-profit (prices seem to suggest that); forever ubiquitous, ultra reliable; second to none; I know it will be there and that it will be fully working when I get there. Hope...
