WIll not buy an R2, and I have had enough already with power outages.
My great home has all critical loads wired to a separate electrical service with manual grid cut-off and built-in switchover connection to backup power via outside outlet.
Invested in a whole-home 18 kWh battery pack solution...
If a dual is your first Rivian, you perhaps might find it the greatest thing since the Model T.
Got a dual loaner and drove it plenty. Compared to my Gen 1 R1S Quad, I found it woefully sluggish with not much get-up-and-go. It was a very nice truck, though. Akin to my Quad beast driving in...
Yep. Replace, repaint, and all the myriad of trim pieces that go with it. Plus $1,500 for reinstalling PPF and badging on it, front pass. door, rear quarte panel + ceramic coating.
I had Erie for many years to the point that it would have waived first at-fault accident surcharges. Moved out of state and lost it. Surely, it must have some sort of similar glass coverage.
DId not see any tire offers on my card.
Going on 12k miles, suddenly my 21's on my R1S are down to 4/32dns.
Will check with DT for what's available, but I do find the Pirelli Scorpions just fine.
Ditto on the 20s noise. I got an R1T loaner at Rivian with 20" ATs. Found those AT tires to be...
Did you ask how much the repair cost?
Mine was ~$10k. It took several weeks because of waiting for Rivian to provide parts.
The shop did say that one thing about Rivians is that no parts can be reused, that every piece of trim on a Rivian is a use-once and replace because they break when...
What the experts at the Rivian-certified shop that fixed my R1S said is that there must have been a pinhole in the door skin. Water on window glass draining down into door started working its way through that hole and voila, paint started to bubble up.
Even though already repainted at barely 4...
I said check with Tesla on how to do the horn RIGHT. The latter is just a point of fact, full stop.
If you are one who believes that Tesla invented the horn, well, your thing.
$220.00 insurance a year for me for full anything and everything Rivian glass-related replacement coverage with no deductible and totally hassle-free (windshield including tint film and whatever calibration, windows+window film, roof, lights, lightbar + PPF/ceramic coating on all lights)...
Thank you for sharing this information.
I spent a weekend in Yellowstone last month going in through West Yellowstone and heading out through the East Entrance and on to the Beartooth highway. Charles Kuralt was so right when he called it America's most beautiful drive. The high altitude, the...
A Rivian software feature is glitchy, buggy, does not work, etc. Well, that's a surprise. How shocking, Rivian!
Tesla's implementation of similar features work(ed) just fine, I believe. How shocking, Tesla!
$60 is not bad at all. I too would not waste my time going after Rivian for $60.
I sincerely hope that Rivian makes you whole and that you are happiest with your ride in the end.
Best wishes!
Please let us know how it all turns out.
Although a gen 1 R1S, it still charges just fine with my beloved Tesla Gen 3 Wall Connector after this .38 update. Three years in, never hooked up to the Internet, never Wi-Fi enabled, no compatibility anything ever set up., It just faithfully starts charging my EVs right away every time I use it.
Built one month earlier, my R1S was delivered to my house. Would have declined it had I visually found anything not to my satisfaction.
Heck, 1/4 of my R1S was repainted already, including door replacement at barely 4 months old because of corrosion.
Rivian's subpar both QC and reliability seem...
Rivian reimbursed me the full cost ($$$$$$) of my pro installer reapplying PPF and ceramic coating plus new badging to my R1S pass. doors and rear panel and all afected trim pieces after fixing the corrosion issue.
Anything with PPF that Rivian has to replace through no fault of my own I again...
ebikes do look excellent as mobility alternatives to driving EV sometimes. They perhaps may not be fitness machines, so to speak. Maybe some day I will get one. For now, I still treasure my road bike with human-only propulsion. Cycling, racing that way is awesome.
