Love those Milwaukee Packout organizers. Have started to use them in the garage, for tools, parts and more and more so on the truck. I have a set of them on a Mole panel in the back of the truck and was looking at adding a few small ones to the frunk. Found a great aluminum mounting plate on...
I can highly recommend Home Assistant. Great Rivian integration and all data stays private and can be used for any sort of calculation, automation and is easy to feed into ChatGPT for further advanced analysis.
Here is a dashboard that I put together for myself to see active/sleep and other...
I went with Nokians based on the official recommendation from Rivian and a lot of positive reviews here. If you follow the Rivian recommendations you get the same tire circumference as your stock tires, so there is no need to recalibrate the wheels/tires.
Got to experience the Mobile Service team visit me today in NorCal. My stock horn (I know, I know, ...) started to sound broken and had to be replaced.
Excellent experience and the perfect weather to watch and learn. Whole front bumper had to come off, something I would have never attempted...
And whie I was at it here is the most current 1 day period with the charging just started as well as the two days with 47.01 and 51.01 next to each other. The spikiness does not seem to have anything todo with either version but seems to happen once the SoC of the vehicle crosses somewhere below...
Awesome update. Similar experience here on my 2023 R1T Quad. Two minor issues so far and a 12V battery recall. (I am on the single battery setup). My 2 year anniversary is coming up in March.
In fact I am so happy with the truck that I decided to bring it with me to Europe this spring. Still a...
Does indeed seem that the discharge SoC % gets eased by derating the battery capacity temporarily since 47.01.
I put the main variables next to each other. You can tell that the estimated vehicle range, while more noisy, decreases at the same delta as before - since it cancels the shift from...
Yeah been thinking about that. Here in NorCal the temps are very moderate. Also did not seem the case before the 47 update.
Unfortunately the API currently does not make battery temp available. Something I will keep an eye on.
Have been keeping a good eye on discharge patterns and did a long test over the holidays to measure the self discharge of the vehicle in Conserve + Shipping Mode.
From 12-4-24 until 1-14-25 the car discharged from about 85% down roughly 50% loosing around 0.79% of charge per day or about 1kWh...
Yes read them all and reached out to multiple European Rivian owners before I started. As you say it depends on the shipping company. They all require and offer different things.
If there is an option to disconnect I will do that. My 2023 has the single battery and supercap setup. Disconnecting...
Awesome work. Very much appreciated! Trying to understand what the vehicle is doing was the main reason why I integrated mine with Home Assistant so every minute of data is automatically logged in a single place.
Driving, charging and even just phantom draining away…
Love my Rivian. Not perfect but the best package. Hope to drive it for many more years to come!
Two things I don’t like: the very long service wait times - took me over 6 months to get a service w/ recalls done this year. Once scheduled it was a great experience.
The second one for me is the...
Today was a good test for the dashboard as a software update became available. Even though disabled in the cars settings, the car downloaded the new update (~3 min) and prepared for the update (~7 min) all while in "Sleep" state. Did not wakeup the car overall. But as with any day prior the car...
Yes wouldn’t that be nice. The car as-is is sitting in shipping mode, with proximity and AC turned off, software updates turned off, API is setup read only and will not wake the truck. Just like when the app shows the truck sleeping. The API is whatever Rivian has on the truck, not calling the...
That happens all the time when the truck sits for a few weeks, even when plugged in. I assume the wheels get secured and the truck sits however high it sits above.
