One week from being contacted by Guide and then switching both delivery locations and wheels, today I received my VIN and 8-step for the 'adjusted' vehicle (LE, LG, BM dark 20" wheels). It's all completed now and assume vehicle is close by (Denver)...? Trade-in from Rivian was horrible...

I just found out that after having a specific truck and signing the PBA, switching wheels to dark 20”s, from standard 20”s, now requires a new truck being found with that exact configuration and a new PBA being signed. I didn’t think wheels would be a big deal but just shows you how they are...

My understanding is that you get the 8 step process email once the vehicle is ‘ready to go’. Is that ready to go in Normal before shipping or ready to go once it has arrived at your local service center?

Thanks. Maybe two Tesla Wall Connectors hardwired then (as I have one already).

Great post. I have had a Tesla Model S for many years and now the R1T just around the corner ?. I have multiple (3) 48a outlets planned in a new garage they will be parked in, so likely a separate port and charger(?) for each. I need to work on my electrical knowledge.

Yes, I do have BM configured and that's the interior that they have focused on, as stated above. Any change from that will delay.

Unless you have unlimited supercharging as I do with my Tesla -- now THAT is going to be hard to give up! :whew:

Yes, they are primarily building BM interiors. As I said, I was told should I want to change to another interior, it would delay my delivery. Others have noted this as well...

My guide conversation with Guide yesterday also confirmed BM was the way to go for faster delivery. When I asked what delay for changing interiors, she said months as a start...

The issue of the cruise control slowing and speeding up in curves (sharp curves) and some of the phantom actions sure reminds me of early days in my Tesla Model S. It has gotten so much better over time through OTA updates. I’m sure we will see this with Rivian as well.

@Riviot Somehow I think you are going to be ok :) Rivian will not let you float down the stream unwanted... I have not heard a thing in the few hours since signing myself and am looking for the 8-step 'process' but confident it will come through.

Got my first ‘Guide’ email last week, had my first ‘Guide call’ today. My LE is sitting in Normal and I got an estimate of 4 weeks to delivery. Received first order purchase email for sig immediately afterwards. Pretty exciting.

Looks great. I just got notified my LE is 4 weeks out! Glad to see the dark wheels look so good with that LE green ?
