  1. Features Request List After 1-Week With Rivian R1T

Agree with these suggestions as well. Maybe I have missed it, but is there a way to adjust speed in ACC up or down from the stalk vs have to increase via gas pedal or canceling all together and lowering speed and resetting ACC?
  2. Nice chilly trip today - 275 mile loop up Colorado mountains

Made a 275 mile loop today up into the chilly Colorado mountains (had to see a man about a cat). Climbed from 5,830' via Leadville 10,151' down to Frisco 9,097 all in mid to low 30 degree temperatures and on and off snow flurries. Started with a 100% charge which was 297 mi range in Conserve...
  3. Cruise Control shuts off

Yes, pretty similar to what I experienced in the early days with the Model S. Not all that common but it has happened a few times. Once the R1T saw a phantom bicycle and displayed it on the screen. I guess better safe than sorry for the time being. I have also experienced the issue of the Drive+...
  4. Cruise Control shuts off

No. I have had number of ā€˜phantom’ slow downs under cruise control, but no error messages or cut-offs.
  5. Wind Noise

Yes, passenger front side. Thought the window was not rolling up completely it is that obvious.
  6. Charging loss

Thanks, this one too from Car and Driver: https://www.caranddriver.com/features/a36062942/evs-explained-charging-losses/
  7. Ask us Rivian R1T owners ANYTHING [AMA]!

Just plugging into the 14-50 is fine. The wall charger/connector may get you some bells and whistles like connecting to the connector via Wi-Fi but for your needs I think you’ll be fine just using the 240v. It worked for me and a Tesla for many years.
  8. Charging loss

I routinely see a ~10kW difference between what is reported by an EA charger and the Rivian app (EA higher). Is this loss or something else?
  9. The R1T doing what others can’t

I’ll get a better report when he gets back today. Not meant to be a ā€˜too’ serious of a post ? but he sent a pic of an SUV that was sagging pretty badly with that trailer on and they did switch to the R1T. Pretty neat picture tho…
  10. The R1T doing what others can’t

My Buddy’s R1T had to step in for towing duties in Moab the other day when certain other ā€˜trucks’ were not up to the task. ?
  11. Owners: What are your biggest gripes so far?

Same. Will only charge my iPhone 13 Pro Max with the case off and even then it’s really delicate. Air pod pros charge pretty well even inside a thick third party case. I’ve just gone to plugging it in (old school-like).
  12. Effects of cold weather and wind on range - R1T owner's observation

Did not notice any issues in Conserve (low) mode on the highway in terms of ride quality. Still prefer All Purpose but it was fine.
  13. Effects of cold weather and wind on range - R1T owner's observation

Here are my first trip numbers going up and back in CO mountains; weather was dry and 50 - 60 degrees, drove around 74mph on highway average: charged to 100% in Denver -- showed 293 mile range in Conserve mode 132 mi to destination; had 137 mi on arrival down ~ 15% than calculated Drove 51...
  14. Paint Care Protection Thread

I just got all 5 windows tinted. I found the cabin to be quite warm in sunny Colorado and expect this to help a lot.
  15. MTB Tailgate Pad

It just came in yesterday and the truck was off getting tinted so I will test it out today. I didn’t realize there had been issues with the R1T and pads but I hope it works. I’d really prefer not to go the hitch-mount route.
  16. R1Ts on the Loose!

Like a pair of free range chickens!
  17. Charging Speed is a MAJOR disappointment (ChargePoint

Yea, I’m just stuck for a couple of months without home charging but once that happens it’ll all be good. I did sign up for the EA monthly pass - it helps. The charging can be fast, or not so. I did a 5 hour RT the other day and stopped for a change at an EA and it was really quick.
  18. R1Ts on the Loose!

Buddy and I got to take a quick romp up into the foothills outside of Denver. Too much fun and the R1T traction options are fantastic.
