Nobody knows what the company will do, but the assumption is that the LE has more pure profit margin than regular editions.. things like Autonomy being bundle, is essentially pure margin other than the opportunity cost to receive those funds as a one time future payment or MRR at an unknown time...

I think the reason for having a “launch color” is to have it be a limited run series only, it will forever mean you got it first. Most of the press packages show the launch green color as a paid option.

they might build a launch edition with some premium, but come 2027 they will just put it in every windscreen/roof and not charge for it.. like putting XM/Sirius radios in every car back in the 90’s to enable future ARR for streaming satellite radio. I doubt that they will charge for it overall...

Somewhere during the initial announcements a few months back RJ was saying it was tripled coated for all UVA/B/C/X and for energy/heat.. not sure how that works. Probably still need a liner insert at some point.
