I’m thinking I might try and make a a Local Rivian R2 share group where 4-5 very local people buy the spare and swap it around when one goes on a road trip. It’s not like one needs or WANTS it in that storage area all the time while driving around locally.

Tesla does prefer and often require that the Tesla app be open in the background to work more effectively whereas the use of Apple wallet and Apple car key is a system process so it should b available even if the app isn’t open

The Apple protocol uses UWB ultra wide band as well as BLE Bluetooth low energy which should be better than Bluetooth assuming the vehicle does too. Tesla also had some more local use of NFC which is an older protocol just for very near key use or authentication. I would imagine the Rivian...

I figured the upgraded paints would be $1500, and they are, EXCEPT the high profile colors like CC.. at $2K.. the only positive is, that the $2K price SHOULD reduce some potion of CC buyers, and therefore it will be easier out here at least to FIND your CC R2 in the parking lot. ;-)
