  1. Should I change my configuration to get the power tonneau?

For $500 that is a no-brainer for me. Go for the power cover. They replaced mine recently (disabled since taking delivery), zero issues so far.
  2. Article: How do I get free Rivian-approved NACS DC adapter? Shipping in April!

I don't use public charging so I'm happy to send my adapter to someone who needs it more if you promise to send me yours when you get it.
  3. Out of Spec Kyle's 4,500 mile Cybertruck review. Gives verdict vs his Rivian R1T

Because the rack systems for the CT use the itty bitty roof section plus the area above the tonneau cover for any gear.
  4. Out of Spec Kyle's 4,500 mile Cybertruck review. Gives verdict vs his Rivian R1T

why would you ever need to stand on the ct tc? It’s not like anything can be loaded on the roof.
  5. Anyone else having Charge Port door issue after 2024.07.02?

The SC told me recently a hard reset to them is disconnecting the 12v battery for 30 seconds then reconnecting it. They said 9 times out of 10 that solves most issues. It’s a bit extreme to see if it will fix your charge port door, especially if you are still under warranty, but thought I would...
  6. Design over usability

All the negativity and not one bit about the stainless exterior. I think they summed it up great though. Once the new novelty wears off, I don't think owners will be pleased with their purchase.
  7. R3 / R3X Dimensions: ~161.4 in length / ~59.5 in height ?

I just want to say THANK YOU for posting this in inches. I don’t know if I was more surprised to see the R3 or Rivian speaking in metric tongue yesterday.
  8. Indications of an R1 refresh

I worry about this too. There is a ton of rubber coated plastics in the R1 that will eventually meet the same fate as above. Some will sooner if they expose these parts to harsher chemicals and use. Back to the original post, it was good to hear that the R1’s would receive the same software...
  9. Summarized: R2 / R3 / R3X specs & info from MKBHD & Scaringe hands-on interview

I hope they offer a power close frunk as an option.. I wouldn't be fond of hand prints on the hood every day.
  10. R2 Price, Specs, Dimensions leaked!! $47500, 0-60 3 sec, 330 miles range

I wonder why it's still 2 years if they aren't waiting for the GA plant to come online to start making the R2.
  11. Bravo Rivian but now R1 is OLD.

There isn't a market to sell 50K units of R1 products yearly, but they will still sell plenty to keep them alive.
  12. R2 under cover in Laguna!

I agree, they would not be my choice. They give heavy Kia vibes.
  13. Demo Rivians Now for Sale

Wow, better prices than most of the second hand R1’s. All the S’s are sold out now too.
  14. Rivian tonneau fix appointments

I asked yesterday if they had done many TC replacements. They said they've begun to trickle in. Mine is still at the SC. The replacement went well, but after they uploaded a new config file to tell the truck the tonneau cover was installed, a thermal management error popped up. They were able...
  15. R2 Price, Specs, Dimensions leaked!! $47500, 0-60 3 sec, 330 miles range

How many miles are on this 4-Runner? I've never been able to smell exhaust unless it's a fresh cold start, which I find that aroma to be pleasant :involve:
  16. Dealership Decal Removal on Xpel Stealth PPF

Congrats on the R1. I would think if it’s just a sticker you should be able to pick it off with your fingernails easily. It likely hasn’t been on there long.
  17. ⚡️ Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

Boy, I am happy not to be excited or stressed over this announcement. Except for maybe the first week of ownership, I haven't thought about needing access to a Tesla charger. 95% of my charging occurs at one of our homes or work. For the remaining 5%, I've had zero issues with the non-Tesla...
  18. Air Suspension Technical Info?

You can always go down to your local auto parts store and pick up one of these bad boys
  19. Rivian Layoff 10% Staff and Lowers Production Forecast for 2024

I hope Rivian survives too. Unfortunately, a new product (R2) even if it was hugely profitable wouldn't help them much right now. With current gas prices and interest rates, the appetite isn't there. I don't expect either changing much in the next 12 months too.
  20. Rivian Layoff 10% Staff and Lowers Production Forecast for 2024

This is the most concerned look I've seen on RJ to date. He knows the future is uncertain.
