I seem to be the only one who prefers the current R1 wheel. I have zero interest in oversized scroll wheels. They look like they'll take more thumb stretching/movement to use.

I regularly switch between the Jeep and the Rivian. So far no glass issues with the Rivian. Same paths and time, the Jeep has had 3 cracks from pebbles. All have been fixed at home with a repair kit.

I doubt safelite will do it if they can’t calibrate the camera. They rip people off daily adding that to everyone’s replacement. If the glass is removed and installed properly, no calibration is needed.

I feel your pain. It’s June bug time in NC. Each day I have to clean 100+ splats off the size of a grape.

A refresh for cars is a minor style change inside or out. Component improvements, powertrain changes, and tech upgrades, new trims and wheels wouldn’t be a refresh.

I am sorry you didn't enjoy it. However, it sounds lovely to me. I've never been a fan of the time it takes to purchase a vehicle or house. Some people naturally prefer a more drawn-out process because of the dollar amount. To me buying a car should be like picking up any product off the shelf.

It sounds like your auto-dimming (I think Rivian calls it tinting) mirrors are turned off. You can check in the setting that the feature is on, if it is and it's not dimming I would open a service ticket.

If someone is inside with their seatbelt on the vehicle, the HVAC, and radio should still work normally. It will lock and unlock with proximity still, but I think that is a good safety feature and convenience. No one has to remember to lock the car when you leave or unlock the car when you...

I would for sure. A friend recently asked me how I would rate the R1. My words exact......"I would give it at least an 8. A 9 if they added Carplay, and a 10 if they added Carplay and fixed the jiggly/rattly feeling when going over certain bumps."

You will get a long more for your $ with the R1 platform, but if you don't care for the size then you should wait for the R2.

They can happily live together. Uconnect 5 has built-in Alexa and CP/AA.
