I searched this forum and found nada. I can find discussions of this tire, but not one single indication of the treadwear observed. This is, perhaps, not so surprising since the tire may not have been around long enough for many people to run through the entire service life.
I don't recall seeing any reports of service life around 20K for the Wrangler AT 116H XL. Can you link to any?
While Goodyear doesn't have a treadwear warranty on this OEM tire, similar tires they offer with the same UTQG 580 rating have a 50K to 55K treadwear warranty.
Thanks! That's good to know.
So then... If Gen 1 owners didn't need the update... Why did our deployment need to be delayed? That seems like a reasonable question to me. More a matter of curiosity at this point, but still.
Yes, that is a very reasonable thing to do. It would be nice if there were a little more communication, but you're absolutely right, this is a reasonable thing to do.
Curiously, what was installed for me last night as I was sleeping identifies as 2025.46.0. Does that mean I did not get the...
That doesn't explain it. Sorry. The SW has been released to approximately 90% of vehicles, and now the rollout has stopped. Are you suggesting there's no one working there today or yesterday, or last Friday, or...
OK, fine. But then this begs the question of Why?
Edit: Do you mean that each wave is kicked off manually, and is then automated until that wave completes, or are you suggesting that each vehicle within each wave is somehow manually greenlit for release? Cause that would be so stupid as to be...
I get that you don't roll out SW on a Friday. But this SW *has* rolled out. It's been released. Does your company release SW, then later suspend the release when X% of customers have it with Y% still to go just because the weekend has arrived?
You might want to check your reading comprehension.
The point I was making is that the SW update was released on 12/18. The process of pushing released SW out to vehicles and those vehicles downloading it is done by computers, not humans. It's not like there are Rivian employees sitting at...
This SW was released on 12/18, right? And Rivian Roamer's data indicates most releases are completed in 5 business days, right? Can we call BS on that now? It's 11:49 PM on Monday, 1/5. That's 11 business days. Not 5. Not 2x that at 10. It's 11. It'll be 12 tomorrow.
And, BTW, why can't rollout...
The Xtrusion Overland and Range Industries options do look really good, but are pretty expensive. XO, in particular, seems to be very expensive as such things go.
I'm considering options suitable for mounting a RTT that would have an upper height in the 8 - 14" range. I don't want the RTT to...
I'm no expert, but this source says that when you lose pressure due to cold weather, you should inflate to maintain the manufacturer's recommended pressure.

Mine mysteriously began working at the 11th hour (literally, around 4 PM on 10/31, shortly before we were going to take the kids trick or treating). However, my previous effort to get it working has left my phone/car in a state where they will not pair on Bluetooth for audio. The phone works as...
I'm stuck in the same boat with all the other Gen 1 owners, having issues with this. In fact, all the stupid effort needed just to get this to work so my grandkids can enjoy it has resulted in a net loss in functionality.
I've tried all the hokey poky dance steps. Hard resets - several. Soft...
I'll echo what others have said about the variables under your control for improving the situation. The main factors in descending order are as follows.
Speed: Since drag scales with the square of velocity, your speed is the number one thing you can control.
Aerodynamics: You've got the trailer...
Could it be that the range reflects the fact that the screen also says "No trailer connected"? If so, I'd say it may be a bug. What would happen if you plugged in your trailer? Would the range then decrease to what it may be with the trailer?
Any way you slice it, 300 miles is more than...
It's pretty much impossible to do it with just the information typically posted on this forum, but we can at least get a plot of efficiency vs approximate cross-sectional area of trailer.
There are some outliers here, like kevinhanff's report for a 6x12 U-haul enclosed trailer with only 1.11...
Yep, the force due to drag depends on the square of velocity. It also depends on the density of the fluid (air) you're moving through, so colder weather not only reduces range due to effects on battery chemistry, but it also increases drag somewhat. Fortunately, the density of air doesn't swing...
Aging Wheels has some compelling data that shows our towing efficiency is driven by aerodynamics (CD, cross-sectional area, and velocity), with weight having a negligible impact.
I'm looking at getting a small-ish travel trailer, so I've been datamining posts on this thread and the rest of the...
FYI, apparently they've got a 30% discount running on this model. I'm passing that info along in case it might benefit anyone. I don't get anything from them for sharing it, but if this saves you a few bucks, then great...
