Rivian really dropped the puck on basic maintenance planning. I contacted them a while back about planning for cabin air filter replacement... nothing. Luckily it looks like they are using standard J-hooks for the wipers. Hoping to replace with my favorite PIAA silicones.
I find that my braking reaction time is slower in the R1T / EV, because I'm usually regen braking. Takes me a while to register that I need to use the brake pedal / brembos.
Damn, the EV TOU plan here in Northern California is $0.24 per KW after midnight... I pay $0.17/KW to charge at work... That said, it is still cheaper than $6/gal gas...
I have the same EVSE. If I could go back in time, I would get the WIFI version. The Rivian android app is so freakin basic... wish you could change charging options from the app. There is something nice about a simple EVSE, but the vehicle app has to be robust. Also, my TOU plan has different...
Got a 50A GFCI breaker setup with 40A Grizzl-E EVSE outdoors. I wanted some flexibility to plug indoors later, so I split to another indoor 14-50P receptacle. Figured showing all the guts might help someone out there.
Main breaker panel (100A total). This is not all my handy work... I only...
I asked my guide and technical support if they had a guide for filter replacement or if we could purchase replacement filters... Nothing available yet. Seems like they might require a service call to replace it... Ugh
I'm in the same boat, but I have anxiety about needing the range in case of a sudden emergency. It's not like gas where you can just stop by a station for 5 mins and bug out. I've also been starting to log my charging data to track efficiencies... it seems like charging daily to 70% is most...
If any one else is having this problem, I called Rivian support and they walked me through it. Coming from ICE vehicles all my life, I never thought to press the "AC" button after raising the temperature setting. If you don't press that "active climate control" button, it just runs the fan at...
I thought about applying PPF there, but I just push carefully at the black plastic strip at the top of the tailgate. PPF would be more foolproof though.
Tell me about it. I drove it a week before my PPF arrived. Already had a tiny chip on the driver side headlight. The front end is so vertical that anything that hits it is sure to chip.
