  1. Drive unit “grinding” noise 25-35 mph,

After receiving vehicle repairs under previous ownership, I note that about 6 months ago Rivian replaced both rear disconnect modules due to a “noise” noticed by a tech during a test drive, not noticed by the customer. I wish i had a definitive recording of a failing rear gen1 quad disconnect...
  2. R1S pulls hard to the right on acceleration. SC says this is normal...thoughts?

If you are running into a roadblock because the Rivian SC is familiar with you and wants to be done, as stated above, get a 3rd party opinion. Not every shop has the equipment to align a Rivian. Find the shop that does ADAS calibration for the local Rivian authorized body shop after they are...
  3. HVB upgrade possible?

My old Chevy volt is not a common, mainstream car. But there are 3rd parties that will put higher capacity later year modules into an older battery case for me. Of course that particular BMS doesn’t care as much about the battery details as a Rivian. And it costs more than the value of the car.
  4. Drive unit “grinding” noise 25-35 mph,

Not very loud today. Maybe people will tell me they can hear, it’s normal. Maybe people will say they can’t hear it. I originally chalked it up to normal but the specific speed range bothers me, as well as the variability of volume. trying to add the video but it’s too large or has “security...
  5. Drive unit “grinding” noise 25-35 mph,

2022 R1t quad. I have had this noise for a long time. It is faint but distinct. I’m not sure if it has been there since I bought the vehicle used in 6/2025 or it just took some time to filter it out among the myriad of sounds made by the vehicle. Many posts/videos found on the internet with...
  6. Driver side window wind noise?

I discovered this as well after the SC replaced that triangle window trim part and the resulting noise was worse. I cut a strip of that round rubber Uxcell 7mm into 1/4 round strips, and jammed it between the window seal and the triangle window trim piece so as to continuously push/hold the...
  7. Guide: R1S / R1T Wind Noise FIX!

I just discovered that the exterior a-pillar “appliqué” slides up and down a tiny bit. My R1t came back from service with a new triangle window seal but noise worse than before; drivers side had a big gap at the top of the trim compared to passenger side. I figured air gets in there, travels...
  8. How can I remove PAAK and use the fob only? PAAK can F all the the way off

“…Remind me again why not having a real key is a benefit?!?…” I actually don’t think it’s a cost saving. One mechanical lock somewhere would cost less than pennys per vehicle in the overall budget of a car manufacturing procesd. I think it’s simply in line with the whole “physical connections...
