It's a good question. I wasn't able to find a lot of real world data points but vendor specs say it can withstand anywhere from 135F (Bambulab) to 330F (proto pasta).
Are you planning to share the STL? I've got a roll of PLA-CF that I need a good excuse to use.
IMO I would optimize for strength and durability not saving money on filament. I'd much rather see more walls and increased infill even if it doubled the filament because you're only talking about...
Just tried the key fob update which failed with the message that says it won't work again until the keyfob is serviced. I confirmed it doesn't work anymore. It was working fine before. Thankfully this isn't my primary key but I'm not looking forward to being without it for months while I wait...
ChatGPT: Write an email to Rivian CEO explaining the benefits to adding Apple CarPlay to Rivian R1T
Response:
Subject: Request to Add Apple CarPlay to Rivian R1T
Dear [Rivian CEO's Name],
I hope this email finds you well. I am writing to express my excitement about the Rivian R1T electric...
My biggest ask (i'm a simple user) for Rivian (well that and a decent podcast app) is to have the truck auto-lock after X minutes. I hate the way it tells the entire world "hey the truck is unlocked" which, if I recall, would allow you to get access to the frunk, gear tunnel, and bed. Has...
Where is the A/C condensation supposed to go? Is there a reservoir or a "happy path" for it to take to leave the car? It's odd to see what appears to be an unintentional leak.
Today I heard a dripping sound after I had the truck out on a short drive. There was clear, odorless fluid under the front passenger seat on the ground. Within a few minutes it stopped but I could still hear it dripping somewhere inside the front of truck. I also noticed another place where...
My electrician installed the Rivian charger assuming there was a GFCI breaker within like Teslas. But the city inspector says they need proof that's true with Rivian chargers. Normally there's a sticker that indicates there's one inside. Assuming it does have one built-in, does anyone have...
Not yet. It was supposed to be sent out on Friday. Not sure if it's coming via UPS or regular USPS. I'm going to email the guy tomorrow if I haven't seen anything.
My initial reaction is that I don't like it because the truck is presenting itself as locked, but I could see it both ways. However, if that was really the intention then why not allow the parts to be opened as well?
Good question. My phone was in range. Not sure if you're guessing it's by design, but definitely not what I would expect especially since nothing else can be opened.
I learned today that the frunk can be opened while the rest of the truck is locked. The gear tunnel, the bed, and tonneau are all inaccessible.
Anyone else notice this? I filed a bug.
As the original starter for the thread, I wanted to share an update to say I finally have my plates! I emailed RJ (before Tony's contact info was known) and it was immediately (on a Saturday) forwarded and things started moving very quick. By last Tuesday I had a tracking number and by last...
Temps expired 10 days ago, my guide is barely responsive and hasn't offered any concrete information on what's happening or (from what I can tell) been effective at helping resolve things. The packet was supposed to be overnighted last Thursday. It hasn't arrived and no tracking number
I'm told Customer Service will refer you back to your guide. Although I haven't tried it myself. Has anyone found this option effective? At this point, I'll take anyone's contact info who can resolve my plate issue. Do you have Tony's email address?
