I don't see it in License Express and when I search for the VIN it says "unable to verify information". When I was in the DOL last week, they said they had no record of the VIN entering the system.
I asked this in a few threads but having a single thread might be useful for people to bookmark. I'm sure RJ doesn't monitor his email directly, but for those of us who are getting the various runarounds, being able to escalate beyond our guides (who seem to be very hit/miss) is critical.
Can you share the email address you used to reach out?
I'm in WA as well and going on 10 days with expired plates. They were supposed to overnight something 8 days ago, but no package and no tracking number and a guide that stopped responding. Amazing how fast goodwill burns when you can't...
The guide concept is just another good idea poorly executed. Maybe I should start contacting support for everything and skip the whole guide process.
Mine starts with S. I agree super nice, but communication is very underwhelming especially during times when I don't have any insight into...
The temp plates fiasco is a textbook case where a guide would be priceless. Meanwhile mine does the bar minimum which includes not keeping me informed making me txt him and hope that I get a reply. Add to the fact that he said he was going to get info on why my truck was taking so long in the...
Does any know if someone close to RJ manages his Twitter account? One option would be everyone impacted to start tweeting and generate some pressure. My advice would be to do it respectfully but I'd be lying if I wasn't tempted to write a bot that tweets at him every day that I don't have my tags.
Yes and was told only dealers can buy an extra 30 day temp tag. I didn't bring it up with my guide as I feel I need to keep him focused on few options not more.
There is no evidence that Rivian started the process of getting plates. That's what pisses me off. They had 90 days to figure it out.
As someone who has a truck they can't legally drive, this is a major F-Up. The consumer psychology of having a new toy that we waited years for and spent a lot of money on that we can't drive because the company didn't have their eye on the ball will burn through goodwill faster than all the...
Day 2 without a truck I can legally drive. I gave Rivian a pass on the minor stuff (including one multi-day SC visit) up until now but this pushed me over the edge. A barely engaged guide who ignore my multiple asks for help 3 weeks leading up to this. Now he's telling me I need to self...
Mine was barely rubbing on the bed liner causing it to not drop 25% of the time. Easy fix while it was at SC for a few other minor issues I had batched up.
On a side note, I just learned that Rivians are exempt from the sky high registration fees in King County. $125 instead of what would have been in the area of $800-1200. Not sure how I missed that when reviewing my paperwork.
Can anyone confirm what paperwork is needed to self-register with DOL? My guide is willing to look into it but needs to know what I need. I'm in WA if it matters.
Thanks for the links. After spending a bunch of time lost in WA gov't website bureaucracy I'm not looking forward to dealing with this. It does look possible but I agree with that it's a "go in and talk to someone" kind of problem. The DOL visits (thankfully haven't done one in years) is...
My truck is at the SC for wind noise near passanger window which sounds different from OP. For my issue, they knew exactly what the issue was and how to fix it although it did require ordering parts there were delayed. The tailgate, as explained, is gravity powdered and if the truck is...
