Are the chargers part of their RAN? I'm sure I'm in the minority, but I think Rivian should be investing in these as a strategic asset rather than a charitable/community good. They could still open them up to anyone, but I would like to see preferred pricing (or free) for Rivians and everyone...
I've had mine for over a month and really love my truck. I had similar concerns about being an early adopter but so far its exceeded my expectations. The only issues I've had are minor software glitches.
Yep. CS has confirmed that they haven't delivered but they literally have no idea when it will ship. I assumed it was because the entire stock was back ordered but hearing that others folks got them tells me it's more (bad) luck than anything
Obviously, I don't know the details of how they got to the decision but my suspicion is that CP/AA are non-starters because they take over everything. Rivian would basically be outsourcing the entire infotainment experience which we know is becoming one of the strongest parts of connecting with...
I disagree. It's a major extensibility option that will unlock more ROI than building apps one-by-one. I'm not suggesting it's all roses, definitely a lot of things to work through (including non-sexy stuff like performance and security). I hope they do it, but do it right.
Anyone figured out a good option for protecting the back seats from furry friends? My personal use case I don’t want the hammock style that takes over the whole back. Looking for something that covers just the seats and the backs so humans can sit next to them
No proactive management of accessories that didn't come with the vehicle. In fact when I asked, he said use the app to file a ticket and ask them. He was basically a sales associate. Which is fine but doesn't really match the marketing aspirations.
I was really excited to hear about the concept of a guide, but my experience hasn't lived up to the hype. They aren't horrible but basically do the bare minimum pre and post delivery.
Some physically lock and some don't. How worried should I be about theft? I learned that all Tesla destination chargers are free so I guess I don't have to worry about paying for someone else's electricity if they unplug me.
Searching the forums doesn't show a clear recommendation that gets the best L2 can offer with flawless compatibility. Can please list specific models or links for your adapter if it's known to work with Rivian?
Stay far away from MyQ. I installed Tailwind and it's been rock solid. The garage door parts are 100% wired so no false positives/negatives. Decent mobile app + HomeKit integration.
