Ding ding... winner winner chicken dinner.
While Rivian might have the capacity to hit the 70k marker, I doubt they have the ability to due to the chip shortage.
I think on top of that, they have the hassle of the "Non-direct to consumer" states where they literally cannot sell/deliver the vehicle to you.
I wouldn't be shocked to find non-LE orders starting before LE deliveries are complete due to both the lack of service centers near by and/or because...
Agreed. I am 100% sure the apps are submitted to the stores, approved and just time release gated. They have most likely been doing side loads for internal use on ringfenced flights to tune and tweak for months or even years.
And again, most of these vehicle apps are pretty much useless until...
There are a fair number of things I do really like about the Lightening. Namely, the bed size, and the scales.
But, at the same time, as I drive my own Ram 1500 around and try and smoosh into a parking spot at the local grocer vs. when I park my Tesla X, that size (width especially) becomes an...
3 years with my Tesla X and no front plate, and the cops pay me no attention.
Honestly, almost no Tesla in my area has plates or the mount (matter of fact, when you pick them up here, the Tesla SC's don't even mention or offer to put one one in my experience).
In general, I'm guessing it's not...
Every black coloured car I've had was a magnet for dust, dirt, bird shit and rainstorms with in 24 hours of washing them.
They look GORGEOUS... for 6 hours.
Also, handwash (gently) only, else you will see every swirl and scuff.
If you do get a darker toned rig, I highly recommend both XPEL...
Nope, because at the end of the day, the impact of the range shift will not impact my day to day use of the truck, and will have a very limited impact on my roadtrips (a few more minutes at the FastCharger).
So.... no, tis a big ole nothingburger in my opinion.
That is good to hear. I'm actually pretty ignorant of the CCS2 world being a Teslarati (I think that's the term they use for us). So having accounts of those (especially those in my area) that speak well of these CCS2 chargers is good news to me.
Oh... I bet it will be a complete clown car of...
Could not agree more with these comments.
This whole "hoping it works, oh shit, it doesn't... now what?" scenario is what gives me pause around moving off my Tesla X and onto a a CCS2 based EV. Now, granted, we only road trip 2-3 times per year, and most of those will feature an L2 destination...
....and all the "Humming" and "Hawing" to try and max that sweet sweet eMPG, will get chucked out the window the moment you smoosh down on the velocitator, go up a hill, or encounter rain.
Tis the beauty of having an electrician install it. Most work for companies that do know how to, and take care of it for you (especially if they are referred to you by the vehicle or home charger manufacturer).
