It would be better to use that data in the UI as well to help project your range. Put it in Tow/Haul mode, enter in the rough weight of the trailer, and pick from a few general shapes/sizes... kinda like what Ford is doing with the F150.

Seriously... buy want you want. If you don't drive or rarely drive in excess of 200 miles per day, and don't often either take long road trips, or go "off grid" for extended periods, I think you already have your answer. I am, because I do go on longer roadtrips at least 3-5 times per year...

You should also consider the charging curve. On a larger battery pack, hitting that 80% marker where you typically see a noticeable drop off, will be at a much higher kW/Range level than on a smaller battery pack... as such, you would hit 300 miles of range in the 400 mile pack quicker than you...

3 day family camping trip, coming out with about 90 more miles of range than I went in with... sounds like a winner to me.

My only issue with a trailer, is storage. I have a Yakima Rack and Roll I use for my Kayaks and Thule with my Tesla X. It works well enough as it collapses down... but at 350 pound limit... ya not hauling much. ?

If I didn't need the truck bed to haul random crap to the dump, or from home improvement/garden stores... I'd go for an R1S in a heartbeat.
