To your point, battery size isn't key, I think efficiency and charging capability are.
Tugging around a huge damn battery that weighs as much as Rhode Island so that you can get 400 miles of range, or, having motors and system in place that allow a much smaller battery to get you that range...
I have switched my build up. Going 21's for my Summer tires, and then buying a new set of rims with dedicated winter tires on them.
I like the Hakkas personally.
No, it still has significant coverage, the offroad package makes the shielding (as best we can tell) total underbody (and probably adds some extra reinforcement, but we don't really know for sure).
If you aren't going off road, and don't need tow hooks, you will be fine to skip it.
Agreed.
1,000 pound difference is not giving you over 50% range.
That whole Marques Brownlee thing was just stupid, and most likely the result of recent usage figures (favourable). It's like looking at the instant MPG in your car while going down hill, "Hey look, 99MPG! I can drive 2,623...
I'm debating.. I know I'll go RTT. Setup/tear down and comfort are big drivers. I'm just not sure if I'll go with the one they offer (more expensive, but comes with a warranty) or a SmittyBilt Gen 2 (cheaper and well made, but only a 1 year warranty).
Really, the only two dings on RTT's from...
Winner winner chicken dinner.
That's my line of thought as well, this moves clearly from the "they probably paid them for this review" or "they were not allowed to talk about X" into the realm of "no punches pulled".
I mean, at the end of the day, we will all be our own reviewer, but if this...
I actually think this is more plausible.
While they might have a custom build pushed to the rally truck (again, to disable GPS and maybe a few other items). I think it's more likely that the mobile charging station they were using, was set up to push as much to the truck as the truck was asking...
I've been poking through the ole YouTubes and have been seeing a fair number of rando's that have been given the keys to a R1T for a couple hours that... clearly... have not been ardent followers of the R1T (or... trucks in general) and their reviews have all been strongly favourable as well...
Yup, I'm actually less concerned of what the stations can do.... those will be upgraded over time as 50kW stations are replaced with 150, 200, 250, 300, 350, 350+.
My main concern is, "What's the hard limitation of the vehicle?"
It's a "Con" I have with the F150... they hard cap at 150kW (as I...
I plan on doing donuts in the Rivian Service Center parking lot until the cops arrive.
If people are gonna find out I got my truck, it may as well be on the nightly news.
I'd love to skip threads that devolve into defining what a delivery is, what a customer is, who is a real person, and how big of a liar/conman the Rivian organization is.
...but almost every thread on the forum eventually devolves in to it.
At some point... we all get the message... you can...
Official delay in what?
They are making deliveries, they are reporting the deliveries in their amended S1.
Why would they announce a delay in deliveries if they are making deliveries?
As for "fanboi" or "hater"... it's not an either/or. I think there is a point where you can be neither, and...
