That does not sound like the air suspension system to me. Usually all you'll hear from it is air purging during the kneel lowering phase and solenoids clicking open/close to move the air. Obviously the compressor running to fill the tank has its own unique noise.
I think the "spooling down"...
I've carried and used these for 10+ years. They are not "intended" to be a permanent solution but, I've run several thousand miles on them after a repair with no problems.
Dynaplugs
Agreed, and I would have no problem paying a minimal amount for a basic adapter. I think it is GREAT that they want to support the early adopters and give "us" free adapters but, some will truly need them well before others.
As you've seen, the software support is rolling out but, now we need the hardware... 19 days to go in March and no mention of the Rivian CCS to NACS adapters shipping. From my perspective, support is not just opening up the network and updating the software to allow charging, we need the...
This is a trend that has been ongoing since we started insuring these vehicles. It is predominate but, not limited to Nationwide.
My R1T was originally insured through Nationwide in Aug/2022, 6 months later with no claims and rates jumped close to 20%. I switched to AAA and one year later my...
For anyone seriously concerned about kneel cycles adding stress to the suspension, you should probably stop driving your R1 to avoid that stress as well. The hundreds/thousands of suspension cycles experienced from just 1 normal everyday drive exert substantially more stress on the suspension...
?Me. I honestly find it comical that the OP is mentioning the word "lemon" because of the listed problems that are "piling up", and also stating that his Tundra was superior in almost every way ?. I had to seriously reread the posting to make sure it was not a joke. The issue of the delay time...
I would describe this as normal, both the louder compressor sound and more frequent running of the compressor.
1.) When it is colder, materials shrink, especially metals, which is what the compressor is made out of. The clearance between mating parts in the compressor increases and, the parts...
Yes, mine has had one hiccup out of 4 attempts. It also has yet to precondition my battery using the motors to transfer heat.
I think we'll see an update next month to patch some bugs with this.
I had the same thing happen yesterday. So far I am 2/3 on successful cabin preconditioning. Once I noticed it had not activated, I set up a separate schedule just for Tuesday, for departure in 30 minutes, and it fired up immediately.
I would really like to know the target temperatures for...
Personally, I would change from discharging all the way down to 20% and just plug in every day to top back up to 70%. Besides the supposed perks for battery health, In the event that you do need to make an unexpected longer drive, you will be prepared. ABC
I am currently in the middle of my first preconditioning cycle and noticed some live feedback from the app. I have the schedule set to be ready for departure at 5:00pm, with seat/steering wheel heater on and cabin @ 75°. Ambient temp is 43° and, at 4:00pm the climate control and surface heaters...
"You can now create schedules in the new Climate Schedule panel on the center display (or in the Rivian mobile app version 2.5.1 or higher) to precondition the vehicle cabin and the high voltage battery"
I have and, it feels much better. I have a full lock turn coming out of my garage every morning and could immediately tell the difference. I can also feel it when leaving from a stop and turning.
The best way I can describe it is it no longer feels like a locked front axle giving a push/slip...
