I now rely on the tone from the rear sensors when backing in close to the garage wall. The first week I had to learn how the distance from the visual indicators on the display actually translated to in the real world but it only takes a few trials and I feel pretty comfortable with it.
I still find them very useful. I have a pretty tight parking situation, maybe 18" total space remaining front-back in my garage and find them helpful. I still rely on the camera/mirrors for side distance judging but, learning the sensors has easily allowed me to use them to find my correct depth...
Its eh... cute haha. It reminds me of the smart car front end but, with even less materials to protect you in a front end collision. That alone would keep me from driving one. Neat but, not for me.
Meguiars scratch-X or something similar is always a good first attempt with any etching, scuffing, light scratching, etc. I keep a bottle in my garage at all times. You can easily work small areas by hand without burning through clear coat. It might take several applications and some elbow...
For what its worth, I had my first R1T road trip experience from Indianapolis to just north of Milwaukee over this last weekend and had only positive charging experiences, including 2 EVgo stops.
2 stops @ EVgo on the north side of Chicago - painless and quick, also reasonably priced.

With the weight sensors, air bag, heating, cooling, and memory functions all integrated with the software, plus power control and USB charging, I doubt we see aftermarket seats offered from anyone in the next 5 years, if ever. These vehicles are not common and the demand for aftermarket seats...
So, question from a DCFC newb that will be utilizing it for the first time very soon. How do you know that the R1 is preconditioning? Status message, motor noise, other behavior?
I would never consider the camera quality bad by any means. Have I seen better quality in other applications? yes. Am I upset in any way with the quality of mine? Not in the least.
They did recently push an update that improved the front camera picture/viewing field.
Could it have been warm enough between just having driven the truck & the temp in the garage, that the cooling system was actively cycling? This would also activate the louvers.
748mi/mo @ $0/mo
My employer provides free L2 charging which covers 100% of my energy needs for the R1T.
Before the free charging, I was paying roughly $35/mo to charge at home.
I ran into the same delay. TT says they should have the "finalized" form from the IRS on Thursday, Feb. 2nd.
EDIT: Looks like they moved from the above date... again .
A little more history on the subject: TT 2023 Form 8936
Looks like the most solid option for all weather mats that I've seen so far.
I am curious from any current owners of these mats. How slick is this material when wet? Do your feet want to slide easily or, do they provide a decent grip? Use the standard Chilewich as a comparison if needed.
Yes, this same thing has happened to me the last 2 times I have washed. My phone is stationary, 20-30 ft. away while this happens. I will have to try the lock trick and see if that helps on the next wash.
