I could be wrong but I think the camp speaker was on display in the retail shop @ Rivian Hub, Venice.
Its possible they would go on sale separately down the line…though I’m sure right now they need every single one they make for the trucks.
Considering the MSRP of the car is now ~$95k, and buying now would deliver the car a full 2 years before a new pre-order...I'd say you could probably sell a new R1T for around $150k right now.
A $50k mark-up isn't out of the realm of reality. $50k Bronco's are selling with $20k+ markups...
Interesting that conserve defaults to lowest height immediately. Ride height would really be an efficiency factor until the car reaches higher speeds.
If the ride quality is effected that much at the lowest setting, might be better if it defaulted to standard and lowered itself at highway...
I have them on another car and honestly I forget that it’s there 90% of the time because I don’t stare at that spot on the ground as I enter/leave the car.
I do think the Rivian puddle light would be better if it were smaller and just the logo lit up (instead of the logo in shadow inside that...
@timesinks Bravo, thanks so much for taking time out of your fun day to report this great data!
Two biggest things for me...
1) 0.8 miles/kWh driving slowly on muddy roads is surprising. I don't care what the road conditions are...that consumption is bonkers. Sounds like you got 2.3 m/kW in...
@timesinks Thanks for the reply regarding the custom drive modes. Will look forward to hearing what you find out!
Fun to find out little details like this...
Congrats on your deliveries!!
My question:
If you alter a setting in your drive mode setup, do those settings stick and come back between trips? Or does it go back to default?
And does your preferred drive mode (default or custom) stick to your driver profile in the car even after...
Well here’s hoping there’s an “Individual” setting.
I usually prefer a sporty setup (throttle, steering, ride height in the R1Ts case) with comfort ride settings.
Does the sport driving mode change throttle response/steering feel in the R1T? I know it stiffens up and lowers ride height.
I hadn’t heard about the OTA update for damping profiles. Do you have a link for more info? Will there be a custom drive setting with user settings for dampers, ride height, pedal response, regen etc?
Glad to hear your thoughts on the ride quality…Looking forward to a comfort leaning ride...
The R1T suspension is where the opinions are all over the place.
Cammisa calls it the weak point in an otherwise crazy positive review.
Meanwhile Carlos Lago at C&D says it rides like a luxury sedan.
I’m coming from a GTI and MINI Cooper so I’m sure the R1T will be plenty comfy for me.
Can anyone with a pre order schedule this? Or do you have to have it pop up on your Rivian account?
My order isn’t reinstated yet after cancelling, I wonder if I can call them for a slot?
I live in SoCal - R1Ts are relatively common. I've heard the pedestrian warning noise a few times and it sounds like a really loud fan. Almost like a car when it's warming up? Or and ICE car sitting idle with the A/C blasting - that loud fan noise.
I guess that the idea is to make it like...
IMO Rivian stock will stabilize around its current price for a while - but long term I believe in the company. The most important factor for me is that the product is just too damn good. All of the other issues (production rate, supply chain, etc) will eventually sort themselves out. At the...
Of course there are different factors that effect range - that doesn't mean a test wouldn't be useful.
We're all (ok, mostly) smart adults and can take the conditions of a given test into consideration when evaluating results.
So, if someone were to do a full range test in cold weather in...
