You're funny. Hopefully you're being purposely obtuse, although maybe it's actually you ? From the beginning of this thread I've been skeptical of the numbers, and came back to share some more info. Apparently my mistake for you was that I didn't spend enough time coming up with an exact...
hoping there's a compass yellow with my name on it arriving in the next day or so.... ?
I've been to the spaces in Lodo a few times, and it's always full of people getting test drives. Would be nice if they could build a RAN on I-70 somewhere. Maybe Dillon or Frisco, although I guess they're...
You're being a little pedantic. But - let me re-write my example for you.
Tesla 3 sold 10,000 in October, and 10,044 in November. 44 more.
Rivian sold 100 in October, and 149 in November. 49 more.
Rivian's month over month variance to Tesla is bigger !! But it's misleading because it's not...
I don't believe it. Living here in CO, and seeing the number of 3s and Ys rolling off the lot of my local tesla dealership (10s a day), this doesn't past the sniff test. I own Rivian stock so would love to be wrong - but this seems 'too good to be true'.
Here's another post with the news...
I didn't see a follow up here, but we discussed this in the CO Rivian facebook group and realized it was a bit misleading...
It is the change month on month - not the volume.
Let's say tesla sold 10,000 model 3's last month, and 10,040 this month
Rivian sold 100 last month, and 148 this...
You'd need a crystal ball too... I bought a model Y on the 31st December 2022. Getting in on a $7.5K end of year price deduction, and free supercharging for 2 years. Price pre tax was $65K, which at the time REALLY frustrated people who'd bought earlier in December and missed out on that...
let me know how you get on please. I was going to order those same wheels / tires from EV, but wanted to get a delivery date first (I locked in last week).. I've seen complaints about EV taking an order, even if it's not in stock, and then being months until you receive. I chatted with them...
Living in Colorado, and seeing the number of Teslas, having one myself, and waiting on the Rivian, this surprises me. Not 100% sure I believe. I can go get a 3 at the Tesla dealership this week. It’s a much longer wait for the Rivian. And twice the price. Need to see more facts.
thanks. And shows how the pricing has changed for us late comers. I need to drop from the 22s to the 21s to stay under $100K ! Admittedly I do have a couple of up-sell items (yellow paint, ocean breeze interior), but the extra $3500 to go from 21s to 22s seemed like something I could save...
Are the 22s noticeably better than the 21s ? I locked in from the shop, so it was originally coming with 22 sports for a $3.5K upgrade. I've asked them to go back to the 'free' 21s. Clearly you thought 22s were worth the upgrade - curious if you still feel the same ? (I'm getting some 20s...
Well this whole thread is depressing ! I just locked in my QM on Friday, so waiting for a delivery date. I had no idea we were capped at 110 mph. I regularly drive my Y on I-70 to Leadville, and have certainly gone faster than that up hill. Damn.
Yes ! Absolutely. You post about a $5 watch band that costs $60, so I need to see if it's worth it !! :) Actually, I know it's not, but since your post - I actually locked into a yellow R1S - so ordered the strap.... heck, what's $60 when I'm dropping close to $100K on a vehicle ?... the...
Interesting to hear. I'm in Denver and we have a place in Leadville which I go up to year round. I had convinced myself I'd need to get some snow tires, but maybe I should give the stock tires at least a test run before I do that. cheers.
I bought a nomad band for my apple watch ultra a few months back. It's nice enough, although it was a bit narrow on my ultra (honestly - these I thought were better than nomad and far cheaper... https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0CGZZK4BZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&th=1&psc=1)...
Because I'm a pragmatist. It's funny, I started with a mach-e, then moved to a Y, and now just locked in an R1S. I've been active on all 3 forums. On each there are the fan boy sheep who cry wolf if someone gives praise to another brand, and then the realists who see there is some good and...
I don't know if you'll be driving in the snow, but this thread was helpful to me. I'm waiting to configure, and now will certainly be leaning to the DM.

Wow, it did indeed smoke the R1T on the drag strip. I put myself on the waitlist too. It's refundable and just $250, so no real downside, although highly doubt I'll get one. Maybe in a year that shape will feel more 'normal'. I do like the fact that it can power by house. We already have...
I saw plenty of posts about the pricing, but found this article interesting.
https://www.roadandtrack.com/news/a46001614/teslas-cybertruck-can-output-115-kw-of-power-to-your-home/
I have a powerwall already, and it seems the cybertruck can plug into that to power the house. The powerwall is...
