The numbers ARE skewed towards the Large pack simply because it is not even a selectable option for the R1S at this time.
To what degree that skews the numbers? We don't truly know.
These aren't true numbers but let's look at what this could possibly mean with some over simplified data.
If...
Agree, Rivians crash test ratings will probably be superb.
However the ability for other cars to hold up to this massive machine in an accident may be another story.
Is your issue the large ovals, the light bar, or both?
The redesign, IMO, should be around the way the frunk works to be more like the Ford Lightning.
This may or may not effect the front lighting design (thinking of the lightbar).
Assuming they can make it look the same way it does now but...
Nobody that needs a 3 row suv will be canceling with the lack of alternatives for quite awhile.
Same thing goes for those that want an adventure vehicle that isn’t a truck.
Those that can get away with a sedan I can see canceling if they want something sooner as options are definitely there...
That does seem surprising based on some other delivery windows I have seen with a later preorder date than you.
Location doesn't seem like it would be a problem, what else is on your configuration?
Edit: I also see you said R1T, is that correct or did you mean R1S (this is an R1S delivery...
I'm seeing quite a few R1S and R1T preorders from the past month that are the second half of 2023 and have the Adventure package. So I do not see that happening, but I feel for you regardless
Same.
I am a Jan 2020 R1S holder and wanted the Max Pack and it really grinds my gears that people that ordered a week before the configurator went live will get theirs before me.
I don't expect any significant changes hardware wise, but I see a lot of big improvements relating to software.
If the cameras are actually as bad as it has been stated and not just a codec/rendering issue then expect those to get better.
I would doubt captains chair would be added in that time...
This^^
I work with our software development team and we have an E2E system for our business and it is both great and awful.
Great, we have full customization and can do whatever we want! We are unique in our industry with this and it CAN give us a competitive advantage.
Oh, we have to develop...
I hope they automatically disable that noise when it is in it's lifted mode.
That mode already limits your top speed so I feel that would only make sense?
Oh joy I can already see the gummies and crayons that my kids will manage to drop in those rails/tracks ?
I'm going to assume/hope they will have a cover like the render!
I thought that might be him, but I wouldn't be all that surprised to see him there for the photo op considering it is the first two R1S vehicles off the line.
You are probably right though as I wouldn't want both to be the same color either.
The second image seems to confirm their choice to prioritize rear cargo vs 3rd row legroom. Matches up with their 3d animation on the site.
This seems odd to me considering those that won't use the 3rd row can always have it down for additional cargo space and those that will use the 3rd row...
