I have subject my wife to this, she rides with me, I run in to a store and it locks when I run away.
I never put it together as being caused because my profile is active and I departed from the proximity of the truck. She typically just opens her app and unlocks the truck.
It would be nice to...
I took delivery in May. My insurance card provided was listed expiring May 23. They never asked for an updated doc and my tags were available 75 days after delivery. TN DMV clearly registered it without a current proof of insurance provided by me.
When I read this, I merely hear that Rivian wants proof of new ownership before they transfer the vehicle.
IMO they just want legal/official evidence of the transaction instead of an email saying 'hey transfer my truck to this guy please'.
I dont plan on selling so it is a non-issue for me.
Car wash mode used to stay enabled, with recent OTAs it shuts off after a period of time(?) as evident by the handles presenting.
I simply open a door and tap car wash mode again. I generally just need to do this once mid-wash.
I have had two incidents in 12k miles with tires getting screws in them. The scissor jack scares the daylights out of me. Pre-ordered mine last week. Plan to keep it in the truck with a breaker bar and 22mm socket going forward!
Be nice to add your energy rates and have it calculate an est. cost per session. It would save me adding everything to my Google Sheet ?
Tesla app allows you to enter utility rates and calculate home charging costs.
Phone as a key devices will both receive the OTA notification. It used to just be owner phone, that changed a few updates ago. Now my wife gets to be excited for OTAs pending also!
Over Thanksgiving the Rivian Service team was absolutely flooded with these calls, all EA chargers.
I had since sensor issues (completely unrelated to charging) I had called in about and they were relieved I wasnt stuck at an EA charger. I just needed a hard reset and I was good.
As long as you drive real nice and don't turn ;) I have the same, it just keeps dropping the charger connection every turn you take and restarts charging. Don't think the charge rate is worth the hassle it ends up being.
Saw this posted at Capital Toyota in Chattanooga. No odometer listed.

I get it intermittently, generally I just close out of the app (recent apps and swipe it up), reopen the Rivian app fresh and then start climate controls without any trouble.
...and that was nearly the last time I used the brake pedal (when I took delivery and was testing out the hardware brakes). Now just shy of 10k miles...I suspect they still look good as new!
I have had the truck 6 months. Started dry lube the last 2 months, and I am doing it roughly once a month. I open the cover maybe 6 to 10 times a month. I do always check for debris to make sure it's clear before opening.
