There should be no reason you cannot, the cover is a flat piece of plastic. The receiver is not tight against the cover. Just may get some rattle noise out of it on the road being left in the hitch without a ball mount, etc.
Press and hold your driver profile icon and name at the top of the screen for like 10 seconds to get a diag log capture/flag in your event log. There will be a small window that pops up on the top of your main display and give you a checkmark and says it was captured.

As an owner, I don't spend much time in the middle rear seat ? It took a nephew for me to know it telescopes and I realized how much it obstructs yours rear view.
I'm not in front of my truck so I cant tell you what it is labeled, but if you are on the Energy screen, its right under the big XXX miles in the top left. You can see the button is white on this screen grab from one of the above pics.
@snostr, Here is the YT from the Hatteras National Seashore adventure with my 22" Sport Wheels! I aired down to ~20psi all around. Never came close to feeling like I was in trouble.
For me, I had to click the notification once the update is done on the main screen to "View Details" or whatever it says...where you go read the release notes, once I did that it prompted another window for the FOB update. After it completed, it looked like there was a place holder for the FOB...
OTA notification overnight, got to the office and kicked it off. OTA installed first time and took 74min. FOB update was like 30s and no issues. Observed on the energy screen, there are 20% tick marks on the battery gauge, I don't recall seeing this previously.
