Not really. Lots of folks seem to rush through insurance and finance like it will speed up the process but those only have to be complete a few days before actual delivery. I completed mine a week before delivery day.
I bought one of those options and it’s too big. It would mount behind the center display but interferes with the gear selector stalk. It would probably work for the passenger side but not what I’m looking for.
Doesn’t work. I used this very mount in my Mach E. Unfortunately, and thankfully ?, the Rivian displays are much more integrated into the dash design instead of the “iPad crudely stuck to the dash” that’s so common. I am still looking for a good mount for the truck.
Gotcha. I would be as well but looks like it will be a while before I ever see an actual RAN fast charger. The proposed one in Tupelo MS would be a godsend for some of our travels. As would one in Port St Joe or Apalachicola, FL ?
or simply give it a power button. ;) I know the Tesla crowd likes to make fun of EVs with power buttons but there are certainly simpler to use. I miss the one on my Bolt and Mach E.
I would prefer they not even try to do the registrations. If I simply had the normal new car paperwork I could have handled this within 24 hours of delivery.
That's a pretty good list. My only issue with it is "climate off in park". Absolutely do no want it to behave as stated just like I do not want the truck shutting anything else off when placed in Park. I'm guessing you have other requirements in mind vs simply being in park.
I won’t have to worry about a “Rivian wave” if my Rivian experience is like 15 months with a Mach E in which I never had an opportunity to wave to another owner. ? Got a feeling that‘s not going to hold with the truck though.
Did get the enthusiastic thumbs up from a Cayenne S Driver last night...
I tend to ignore those “how long to stop” features. If I’m stopped to fast charge I like to take advantage of the charging curve and stay til I hit at least 80% (or wherever the curve drops on a given vehicle). Might not be “optimum” but I find it costs very little time in practice and gives a...
