That‘s my experience as well, along with one question I got with the Bolt & Mach E
The usual intro goes like this:
What kind of truck is that?
It’s a Rivian
Rivian??? Who makes it?
Rivian. It’s a new company…kinda like Tesla
Where it made?
America… Illinois
Electric? No gas at...
day two of ownership and we are having the same issue once We set up my wife’s phone as a key. The truck defaults to her profile but I am primary. The trick to get your settings back is put the truck in park, choose your wife’s profile, then choose your profile.
No good pics yet...too busy driving & answering questions ;), but she was delivered as scheduled yesterday. It's a pretty big upgrade over the Mach E...much better ride, better handling, much faster.
Our orange in life but red in pics R1T arrived as scheduled yesterday! Haven't noticed anything worthy of complaining about at this stage so concerns about the earlier VIN seem misplaced. Not the greatest pics but I was too busy driving it and answering questions. As a driver it looks to be...
I thought so to and that was a factor in my Mach E purchase over the MY. Ford reputation, Ford dealers, and, of course, the Mach E is vastly more attractive :). 15 months of Mach E ownership says the faith in Ford service/OTA abilities is currently misplaced. Mach E has many little, and big...
All manufacturers with 360 cameras should have single touch access and/or automatic activation when your forward speed drops under 10mph or so (like our old Lexus). This would greatly aid using public chargers. The Mach E is also two taps to get to cameras and it's ridiculous to have to do that...
I just hope with the next OTA they will FINALLY enable access to the frunk by some method other than a decades-old hood latch.
Oh wait...that was my favorite Mach E complaint. I fixed that one myself by buying an R1T ?
Adding that trim for the windshield/roof gap is pretty common in the Tesla world. I used it on the Mach E for the same reason. I'll take a look at the gaps when my truck arrives thursday to see if I need to try it again.
I haven't seen a CCS extension cord but I have used several EA stations that, if ICEd, the suspension capability of a Rivian would give the option to "jump the curb" and approach from the grassy side, if I was desperate of course. ?
My credit union said the same thing but ultimately took the purchase agreement since it showed them as lienholder. They do want copies after I get them at delivery though.
Yes, I'm familiar with that hence why I mentioned it. Just curious if anyone knew if PTFE would be "better". I assume what you're saying is stay with the dry graphite ?♂️
I am planning to pre-emptively apply the dry graphite lube when my truck arrives next week. Stumbled on this CRC dry PTFE alternative. I have no experience with either product so any thoughts on which might be better...graphite or PTFE?
