That would not have helped me. Unless it proves so useful that I'll choose to wear something else on my wrist, which ain't likely, I doubt I will use the wristband more than a very few days/year.
The 40 year old Ford keypad technology on the Mach E saved me more than a few times when PAAK was...
I'm taking delivery next week. Thanks to this thread I added the sensors to a short checklist I have asked the SC to check. I have couched the request in with "just a few things I'd like you guys to check to avoid someone having to make a five hour roundtrip service call". ?
And this explanation is a big reason why I choose to take delivery of a R1T next Thursday for a mere $2k more than a lower range, lower performance, and vastly lesser equipped Lightning XLT ER. Not that Ford let many Alabamians order one anyway...?
Good question, but I hope the trunk/spare is weathertight like the Ridgeline. No reason it doesn't have weatherstripping. Especially since the tonneau itself is not weathertight.
I have a somewhat similar "Tesla" mount in the Mach E that firmly fits the corner of the center display. Gotta admit...even though I am with all you folks looking for a good phone mount (c'mon ProClip;)) and am very happy Rivian integrated the screens such that we don't have the tacked-on iPad...
If you saw just one Red Canyon that may have been mine. It’s there for final prep with home delivery scheduled for next Thursday. Yellow was the only missing color when I dropped in a couple of weeks ago.
And what they're building for 22 is quickly approaching "built" status. It's going to be interesting to see the Pro availability, and the prices across the line, when 2023 ordering opens this summer.
That may not be an Apple Maps thing though. I’m curious if the Ford system would have known those were not working. BTW, since we have CarPlay in the MME i pull up the EA app well ahead of getting to the actual stop to confirm if their station is working or unavailable. And of course check them...
That's exactly how I treat the Ford system. ? But it does seem to be location specific. It's not uncommon for MME owners out west to have a better experience due to their charger-rich environment. Starting in Birmingham, Alabama...not so much.
Having put 18k miles on Mach E here in the SE the Ford system has been near useless. It’s results for trips, in an area with sparse charging opportunities, are typically laughable compared to ABRP, Google, & Apple. Hopefully in our area the Rivian will be better as it is hard to believe it will...
This is a fairly common thing in the glass roof cars. Lots of wind noise complaints from that windshield/roof gap in the Tesla & Mach E world. There is cheap trim you can get to bridge that gap. I put this on my Mach E.
If you're getting 6 kWh with the Rivian it is charging at the same speed as the Tesla, but the range impact is less. I had the same confusion when I went from a Bolt to the Mach E. The Chevy was much better mi/hr because it made more efficient use of the same energy.
Got word this morning my truck is in Atlanta for final prep. Unfortunately I cannot get over there next week to pick it up but they are bringing it to the house on 6/23.
Anybody need a Mach E? ;)
Got the word this morning that apparently my truck is in Atlanta. Home delivery set for 6/23. Was given the option to go fetch it myself on the 15th but unfortunately I'm on the hook to run an autocross at the Hot Rod Power Tour stop in Birmingham that day. No way I'll find a sucker to take that...
Ford doesn't use it for their nav service either. But they also allow AA & CP so I get to use superior nav products to the OEM supplied tool. And with the Mach E at least Apple Maps can plan charging stops when used through CP AND does a better job of actually navigating. I am anxiously awaiting...
I disagree about Waze being the only choice as I find it less reliable and flexible than the Google Maps it is built on, but do agree on your other points. It is much more efficient for Rivian to simply allow AA & CP access so their customers can use any product they prefer. I don't need my...
