  1. Alignment through Rivian Service center???

Took my R1S to the Seattle SC for a tire rotation and inspection which they did while I waited. Afterwards they said it needed an alignment (pulls to the right, seems to be the common direction). They got me an appointment in two weeks. Covered under warranty as it is less than a year old. I...
  2. Pacific Raceways Night w/ Rivian Official (Kent, WA)

I signed up for the Rivian's Launch Event at Pacific Raceways and I am planning to attend. Is there any other information available about what to expect there other than the brief description on the Rivian sign-up page. I am looking forward to seeing the R2 and R3 in person.
  3. R1S Dual Motor; Any harm in choosing Reduced Stability for kinda Sport Mode?

Setting my R1S Dual motor to Reduced Stability makes all the difference. My biggest disappointment when finally getting to drive my R1S (after delivery) was the poor accelerator pedal response. Coming from a Tesla Model S where the pedal travel and acceleration were very linear the R1S seemed...
  4. Rivian Electric Summer Kick Off at spaces on June 6 = R1 Refresh reveal date?

I wonder if the reason there is nothing showing for the Seattle Space is that they can't do Demo drives in WA state. I see the other Spaces have signup for Demo Rides. Maybe they are not doing the same thing there or they still need to design a different page.
  5. Seattle R2/R3X Event - anybody going?

I was thinking of going to the R2/R3 event this weekend but I never got around to registering for it. Is that required? Anybody go there today? How crowded was it? Could you get close to the cars?
  6. Seattle Expansion

Anybody heard anything about the Seattle Service Center recently? Is it still going to happen?
  7. Lynnwood RAN Status?

Any new updates on the Lynwood RAN? I used the Happy Valley (Portland) RAN recently and it was a very pleasant experience. It would be nice to have a few more in Washington.
  8. View of the Rivian SC in Bellevue WA last night

I saw a bunch of Rivian’s at the old Eastgate Emissions Testing site. It looks like they are preparing new cars or something. You can see it from I-90 at 150th on the south side. Seems funny that they are “recycling” the emissions testing site.
  9. ⚡️ Rivian announces: March Tesla Supercharger access & free NACS adapters!

From the Tesla Website ( Supercharging Other EVs | Tesla Support ) Notice the part about encouraging all vehicle manufacturers to move the charge ports to the rear drivers side for from passenger side.
  10. Washington 21" Road Wheel Set - Only 1124 miles!

We might be able to work something out. I will send you a private message now.
  11. Washington Sold: 21" Road Wheel Set - Only 1124 miles!

It took one month before the 21" wheels I received on my R1S could be switched out to 22" Brights. I now have a full set of 21" wheels that look brand new and only have 1124 miles on them. At this point I am looking to sell the full set only with local pickup. Price: $2900. They are located...
  12. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

If you press the latch down, but not pull on the cable, the lights around the charge port turn from green to white. You can then remove the cable.
  13. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

I did a test last night when I plugged in. When the car is charging, green light is pulsating, you can press either the button on the Tesla cable or press down on the latch of the TeslaTap adapter then wait a few seconds and the light around the charge port will turn white. You can then...
  14. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

Dual non-performance only has All-purpose, Snow and Off Road modes. No sport mode. It is still plenty fast. Just not the same acceleration as I am used to. Maybe an OTA upgrade to Performance mode someday in the future.
  15. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

Makes total sense that the latch on the TeslaTap would stop the charging. I will try that out tonight as well. Yes, I very much like the R1S. It is definitely different than the Model S. But I think that is mostly the difference between a low sedan and a bigger SUV. I have a non-performance...
  16. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

I did notice that there was not a lock on the charger (when the truck is unlocked). I feel a bit uncomfortable pulling out a cable that has 240V and 48 amps flowing through it. But I presume that Rivian has thought about that. There is a probably a switch or something that triggers the...
  17. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

While waiting for a reply I decided to review the Owner's Manual on the app. If the light around the cable is solid green (not pulsating) then it is done charging and not drawing any current and therefore it is safe to pull the cable. If it is pulsating, it is charging and I should stop the...
  18. Home Charging Best Practice - Disconnecting Cable

Hi there. I have had my R1S since 12/31 at 4:30pm. I have a pair of Tesla wall chargers and I am using a TeslaTap adapter to charge. Before the R1S I drove a Model S for 7 years and I am still adapting to the differences. My question is what do you do before pulling the charge cable out of...
  19. Any Recent Deliveries at Bellevue SC?

I am still waiting for my R1S to ship from the factory. Anybody else seeing delays in their vehicles shipping from the factory? I confirmed on 11/27 and was told it would ship on 12/2. Nobody is able to give me any information on when it might ship. Guide has tried and their supervisor has...
