Diamond creek is the most common take out for river trips. You can keep floating but much past that you enter what is called “the combat zone”. The Hualapai operate one of the busiest air traffic corridors in the wold for helicopters as they’ve got the permission to operate virtually unregulated...
I don’t think of the $10 bill I found on the road the other day as stolen. You’re old and you left something valuable sitting around with no way to get it back to the original owner.
Does anyone know what the best more efficient option is? I just bought a set of 22” aero wheels and plan on using them for road trips with a road oriented quiet, efficient tire.
Kind of a bummer but the ramcharger fit the brand better anyways. I’m looking forward to seeing what that technology can do.
EV towing at distance or longer road trips still suck and until charging doesn’t 30-45 minutes and charging stations are not as sparse there’s a good market for it.
I just did 90mph on the way to a trail and then navigated around a stuck 4Runner once I got half way up it on a completely stock r1t. 16k on these wheels and tires but I’ll keep them until they’re no good for winter. Toyos after that.
This is the problem with the way software defined vehicles are sold. When you buy one you agree that Rivian is providing you a license for their software but it’s implied legally that it’s a separate thing from the physical truck itself. While I have to concede that it makes the most sense to...
Yeah I get that. Works for our bumper pull equipment trailers too but between some of the assistance features not working, the range, and regen braking switching to conventional brakes on longer descents it’s a no go for me except for short trips in town. We do a good amount of work in the hills...
It’ll tow that just fine. It’s absolutely not on par with a modern 3/4 ton though. It’s definitely on par with modern 150/1500s though the features suck on the truck compared to more conventional pickups. While they may have similar payload ratings that far from the whole story. I’d never choose...
The gear tunnel is sick. Everyone who complains about people or car seats in the backseat of the r1t needs more dogs and fewer children or friends. Get a mini van, nerds!
Dumb question but have you tried turning it off and back on again? Even when I swapped my 21” wheels for 20s with larger tires I didn’t experience anything as dramatic as what you’re describing.
Fast Charging still sucks. Until it’s as ubiquitous as gas stations and until charging only takes 5-10 minutes im going to buy the biggest battery possible whether or not it’s rational.
