The Amazon Rivian pulled up and I noticed the Amazon arrow was a similar blue to the Rivian Blue. (The driver loved the delivery van and wished he could buy one.)
Excellent point. I once lost an air monitoring station due to an office next door with faulty wiring. The Fire Chief wrote up an a forensic report which saved a great deal of insurance time.
My deepest sympathies for your loss - especially your pet. Everything else can be replaced.
And a reminder to everyone. Backup your computer files to an external drive every few months and store it offsite. I've seen "cloud" files get lost.
I am aware of these designations...
I noticed on the Rivian maps there is little yellow icon on certain cities that disappear when you zoom in.
Does anyone know if these are potential RAN sites?
Considering the "really big" frunk, I'm waiting for an upgade (or well done hack) for a regular sized 12 volt battery. This first cousin to motorcycle battery is a joke.
Great choice! I have the first version on my Kia EV6 GT-L.
20K miles now after I dumped the original OEM suckie tires. Minimal wear. Great performance. Very quite and smooth. No noticeable range change. Number one rated with Tire Rack.
The LTX is essentially a "truck" tire so it...
I just got back from Yellowstone NP. As per your map, the park is a wildlife preserve on top of a volcano and a DC charging desert!
Except for some very unused V2 stations in West Yellowstone.
If Elon can send a roadster to Pluto, I would think he could configure an adapter for V2.
My disappointment is with the dozens of Tesla V2 Superchargers that are not available through Nevada, Idaho, Wyoming.... A couple V3 in Burney, ID.
You are still stuck with L2 scheduling for a Yellowstone trip.
It would be an interesting addition. I've had a winch on a 1996 Discovery and a 2016 Overland diesel. Not absolutely necessary but it was good insurance a few occasions.
My concern with the Rivian is that it would need a robust auxiliary 12 volt battery.
These folks have a direct DC to L2 charger but it is not inexpensive....

I'm a photographer and I am impressed by his control of the dynamic range. He knows what he is doing. The golden/blue hour shots are the most challenging.
It looks like the early R1S had two 12 volt batteries and the newer ones have one 12 volt and some sort of super capacitor. The Rivian batteries look smaller - I don’t think Costco has an equivalent replacement.
My Kia EV6 GT-L had a defective OEM 12 volt battery. (It seems to be an an issue...
I’m looking forward to more charging options while traveling hither and yon. I was very excited when Elon opened the Tesla V3 network but was disappointed when I found that older V2 Superchargers were not accessible as of yet - such as in West Yellowstone which is a DC desert for non-Tesla.
I...
