Right, but this was another one of my "cons." The navigation was inactive because there was not a subscription, so the map just showed blank, eliminating this functionality/conveinence.
Sure, if you spend a considerable amount of time planning your trip out and finding unique charging stations that have limited options around them, sure, it would cut back on the charging time, but that is not how it works when traveling with passengers.
I do not mean to upset anyone with the...
I just did 1,400 miles in a Hertz rented Silverado EV, and the experience left a lot to be desired. It was a 2024 with 7,000 miles on it. I did all of my charging at Tesla Superchargers (using the adapter from my Rivian). My takeaways were:
- A good reminder that EV travel is very slow (ALL...
The reset did "fix" the issue. This tells me that this was a software issue, not hardware. Annoying, but at least a reset allowed access to my prized possessions.
I did not have time as I was running to a meeting, but I will do that when I am next in the car. I have done about 10 resets in the past couple weeks for various issues. Most regularly for the GPS spazzing out and showing me miles away from where I actually am. Still no air in the center...
Yes, I am talking abut the armrest in between the two front seats.
And I do not think it is supposed to lock when properly accessing the vehicle. I think you might find it locked if you broke the windows to get into the car, not properly unlocking the vehicle.
This is all information gathered...
Appreciate the organizational input. Not helpful for my current situation.
Apparently, when the car is locked, the console locks, as well, as a safety feature. For some reason, mine just did not unlock when the rest of the car unlocked.
I was driving this morning, and I needed to get my glasses from my center console, and I could not open it. This was obviously really frustrating.
Can someone hopefully point me to ways to either manually override the locks that have inadvertently not released? Any tricks to getting it to...
As Hurricane Milton approaches, I plan to need use of the Rivian for temporary power. In effort to extend the battery as long as possible, is there any advice on using the outlets and turning all other power draws from the vehicle off.
I think the way to do this would be in the settings to set...
Has anyone experienced the AC fans blowing out of the first and third rows but nothing blowing out of the second (middle) row?
I had my car in for a cabin leak related to the wiring harness. They had to disassemble to replace carpet in the front of car. Got it back and kids started complaining...
Good news for all Gen 2 owners… In a surprise turn of events it was determined that the issue was NOT in fact related to the HVAC. The culprit was a faulty seal related to the new wiring harness designthis:
“The lower portion of the firewall grommet on the passenger side was not seated...
This was my solution, too. Wish I had done it sooner. Was too concerned I was going to mess something else up. No clue why it all of the sudden stopped working, but has been ever since.
Confirmed that mine was the HVAC. Today marks two weeks it has been at the service center. Supposed to be able to pick it up tomorrow. Awaiting a call from them to arrange and get the full scoop on the repair.
There were no loaners available, but they placed me in a large SUV from Enterprise...
Apparently there is something with the seal that is not designed well. The canister fills up with water, and instead of leaking to the exterior of the car like it is supposed to, it escapes through the inferior seal that is on these cars from the factory. Sounds like the repair will involve some...
Yes, that is where it came from and was most obvious with the all weather mats because the condensation builds on those very quickly when the mats are wet underneath. A smell would also be an indicator of there possibly being a leak somewhere where mold/mildew may be building up.
Hopefully...
