Technology is great until it isn't
PaaK has been pretty damn reliable since the one day in early 2023 when their backend servers caused an issue and it didn't work for maybe 8 hours. But after that event, most of us carry one of the key cards in our wallets just in case. -

Put it in park instead of sitting with your reverse lights on. As soon as you shift to park it'll change the display. -

One change I noticed with this update...not sure if this existed in the past. Saw a reflection in the car ahead of me the other day and when the turn signal comes on now the opposite DRL and the light bar dims a lot. -

Supposedly the 2024.07.03 release was specific to Canadian vehicles, so any US vehicles that were on .02 didn't need it. -

That's...not how a lot of software engineering groups operate. There's a target date where a release is cut for testing, that's the date stamp for the release, and anything that is ready goes in that release. Features that don't make the cutoff get marked for the next release. If something... -
Rivian needs to update software fix for backup camera freezing while backing out of garage (going from dark to bright lighting)
Looks like 2024.11.2 finally fixes this. Kinda went about it the only way I assumed they would. When you shift into reverse or toggle the camera the screens will stay in either day or night mode until you shift into park or otherwise change "gear". Worked for me both entering and leaving my... -

Weird one I noticed. Go to nav in the app and select the filters. Filter for 150+ kW and all the EA stations will disappear. They'll only show when you select 50-150 kW which is odd...first because Rivian shows all EA as 150 kW, but also because the top filter is supposed to be 150+ kW and... -

I had that happen on Friday. Swapped media sources a few times and it came back...very weird.
