Was just browsing and saw the Nitto G3's listed as available now in 275/65/20 116T?

@Discount Tire can you confirm this apparently early release?
I ordered a set online on Sunday. Then I received a call on Monday morning. They informed me the tires won’t be available until November. I could either cancel my order or switch to another tire. They apologize for posting the tire a month early.

Well, even more bad news. If you are waiting for the Terra Grappler G3 in 275/65/20 116T. The wait just got longer. I am now being told mid-December.

So what’s the largest diameter tire we can fit?

Edit: looks like it’s been determined elsewhere to be about 35”. Interestingly, Goodyear makes a Wrangler Territory RT in 285/65/20, that’s also ‘Electric Drive Ready’, so should have low rolling resistance.

What can fit depends on wheel width, offset and tire size. The person running 35s are running Thuren Fab wheels which are 0.5” narrow than stock and have different offset. Note the Territory RT is a MT/AT hybrid. Larger voids than AT for mud clearing. While more efficient than a full on MT, it’d be a miracle if more efficient than a AT.

Fair enough, I was just looking at the EV rated tires and noticed those.

However, it looks like the Toyo Open Country A/T III EV comes in a 34.1” diameter (275/65R20) for both SL and LT. If increasing the diameter really does improve efficiency, it seems like this would be an excellent choice.

I’m planning on replacing my 21” OEM wheels and tires with a 20” 3PMSF setup, probably in November. Have been waffling between the Wranglers and the Toyos, but being able to get the larger diameter in the Toyos might be the deciding factor, especially as it seems like they may already be more efficient than the Wranglers at the same size.

Other way around. Larger and heavier tires sap efficiency. Larger tires give you more mechanical leverage to go over off-road obstacles, they also give you more clearance and more latitude for airing down. They do not give you more efficiency. The AT tread most definitely is not more efficient than AS. Tread block voids contribute to relative roundness of a tire. Greater the voids are, the less round the tire is, greater the rolling resistance.

If efficiency is what you want, stick with a overall diameter that is closest to your existing 275/55R21 tires: 275/60R20. And if AT, still won't be as efficient as your factory 21s.
