Ah, well, there is the first-time tire balancing. I always buy my winter tires from them, and they balance my tires when reinstalling them with the season change, at no charge. I don't believe that was even shown on invoices 50 years ago with them. (Of course, it was included in the final out the door price). It was somewhat different in those days as I remember shaking hands with Les himself. I received two free complete shock and strut replacements on previous vehicles. Those free replacement warranties even included a 4-wheel alignment. Of course, the farm tires from them also don't' include balancing. You can tell that I probably won't buy tires from anyone else, and it looks as though you may have purchased from them also.I guess you're special then, because Les Schwab absolutely charges for balancing with a new tire purchase.
I went to America's Tire a month ago to get the R1T tires roated (they have the pucks) and it was free....but I did get the tire insurance they offered for $60. I then went back a couple of weeks ago because I got a low tire pressure warning. THey filled up the tires for free and sent me on my way. I know I could have used a gas station air filler, but those aren't usually that powerful....I tried and after 1 minute, it only went up 1 psi.
Use the compressor in the truck bed... Fills up very quickly. Hose and attachments are stored in the drivers side gear tunnel door.
Sounds like that includes an alignment, pretty sure that's like $225.
I cancelled the appt so I don't have access to the invoice anymore, but it was definitely just balance and rotate. 1.5 hours at the standard hourly rate.
