12 Volt Battery Warning

Are u supposed to NOT drive the vehicle until then?

Rivian told us to keep the vehicle plugged in when at home to keep up the 12 volt battery and to watch for unusual reduction in state of charge.

We are on a 120 mile trip to Apalachicola today. We are in the Silverado Duramax.

Brian, bummer I just had Rivian mobile service here on 30a Thursday . I'm glad they are willing to drive this far from Atlanta .wish they could have gotten to your battery but the tech had three solid days of appointments from Panama City to Pensacola to mobile while he was down.

We got a call on Thursday from a Rivian Technician Patrick, who was on a call in Pensacola. He said that he might be able to come her that evening if he had a remaining battery for us. He called later and said that he had to use that last battery on another call.

Yesterday (Friday) we got a call from Rivian saying that a technician could now come on August 2nd and replace our 12 volt battery.

Hopefully Opal will be back up and running in no time.

It does seem rather silly to me that with this known issue, Rivian doesn't have a better & faster fix. I get their service is a mess right now, but repeating problems like this don't help alleviate said problems.

Got the warning today, but it was not really a warning, in that the car was dead. The two truck came and tried to plug in a jumper by the tow receiver, system would not start up, it would try and then reset. Can was not driveable at all.
