Found a Thule swoopy basket on craigslist for $40. Ordered some t-track 6mm nuts online. Bolt up and off we go.

A few quick grips later, some 1" dia and 1/2" dia p-clamps and you have yourself a pretty versatile setup to leave the bed free of clutter for big items or a mattress!

Fits a full size spare or 8 bundles of firewood, plus my tent, shovel and kinetic rope on the back. Knocks a little off the mi/kwh but so do the tires.

More to come as I weld a few mounting points and make little QoL upgrades on it.

Love it. I was going to do a Yakima LockNLoad rack on mine...great utility with the T-Nuts and make it what you want.

But with the overland rack you can fit 6-8 recovery boards…. And a little water container:giggle:

Awesome I love this idea, I'll look into T-track and P-clamp mounting hardware to fit mine too!

I’ve got l an ARB half-rack I plan to do the same thing with. I’d like to design some mounting rails with struts so I can lift it up to access the bed more easily.
