In an ideal world you would want to run a chalk test to determine your pressure to avoid uneven tire wear.

I run mine Nitto Recon Grapplers at 60-65psi. I think @Mark_AZR1T has done some testing at different pressures.
I run 70psi on my Cooper Discoverer XLT's. Approximately same range as OEM Scorpions and they aren't harsh to me, wear even at 28,000 miles and are quiet (relatively).

Would not recommend that, would likely drop your range down by ~45 miles (289 vs ~244).

Would recommend the Firestone Destination XT instead...range would likely drop to 270 miles or so...

I went with a 33" tire (CV 4S ~$250) and saw range go up ~5% or so...

From all the different posts, there are three LT tire pressure camps:
1) Same as OEM (48 PSI) - I believe this works for the lower load range, but may be too low for fully loaded setup.
2) 55 PSI per calcs
3) 65 PSI because A) there's no MPK benefit above this, B) ride is way too harsh at/above this...

Time for a poll!

Ok, I ordered them. What pressures are you running? Looks like they go 80 psi max.
I'm running 56psi, I believe. I haven't done a chalk test, but it feels nice enough. I might bump it up to 58psi, but with the Texas stove-top roads, the pressure easily jumps up to low/mid 60s.

So, I'm looking at the price of the OEM stock Pirelli AT Scorpion Tires 275/65/20 116H and they are $ 461.00 per tire. This is the specific EV version that came on the truck. Although, Pirelli also

has a AT 275/65/20 126S version that Amazon has for sale for only $ 276.00 per tire. BOTH versions carry a 50k mile warranty.

Has anyone tried the non-EV version of the Pirelli AT Scorpions? It's almost an $ 800 difference, so it's worth asking questions. I'm assuming they might ride a little rougher, but for $ 800 difference, how bad is it??

Yes, I have run the non EV versions twice on my 2013 Nissan Frontier Pro 4 x. I have accumulated close to 400k on two different trucks. I tried four or five different AT tires and the Scorpion ATs plus was the best compromise between tread wear, milage, noise, traction and comfort. I tried them becauae I saw that the Rivian that I waited 3.5 years for was wearing them.
The EV version is foam filled as I understand, so there is a cost difference because of that.

I switched to Nitto Recon tires with the 116 load rating. I talked it over with Discount Tire, Tire Rack, and a couple friends who are very experienced with tires. Everyone thought it was a good idea. I love it. Gained range, and they are SOOOO quiet. Price was good, and Discount had me in and out in under 30 minutes. If you have a Synchrony car care card of any type, they will also give you a big add-on discount, it was $90 for me. OTD was $1830.20. I'm running 45 PSI for the road and 25 off road.

I put non-EV tires on the Tesla, and also really recommend that too. The EV tire thing seems to be bullshit and hype. EVs are not really heavier than similar ICE vehicles. In fact the Tesla had that same tire size as a BMW that weighed MORE.

Yes I’m running then. I have the white lettering facing the backside of the wheel though. They look identical to the EV version.

They have the exact same performance ratings too. Too funny.

But what’s the price of those Firestone tires? Did your range really go up or is your Speedo off now and you think your getting better range?
Ok I'll admit that one made me stop for a second, and almost got coffee all over my screen.

Upon reflection, you meant "Is your speedometer now inaccurate..." and not my first impression which was more of a South beach thing.

I'm currently running the 126S version as replacement to the OEMs. I have a couple thousand miles on them.

I can definitely say they are much less noisy than the worn OEMs, but can't compare new to new (new OEMs were over 30k miles ago).

I have not noticed a range difference but I am running a higher pressure. I've also not noticed a difference in handling.

I just decided that the load and speed rating are not being violated, so the tires should handle what I throw at them.

Discount Tire happily installed them, and I'm happy with them so far.
What psi.?
