Did anyone notice "added capability to adjust more than one vent at a time".
Hopefully this was an oversight or a software bug because... really? Just one at a time?
Not to be negative, but I hope to adjust vents manually and not dig thru layers of menus to find air vent adjustments.

Maybe if the air vents were like the ones I had in a 1989? Mazda 626 that pulsed back and forth. I loved that function, but haven't seen them on other cars. I guess I'm the only one who loved them.

You really only use one finger to control the screen, so you really only need to control one vent at a time. I didn't know you could only adjust one at a time before and it was a non-issue.

OK, I get it. From the verbiage it seemed like you moved one vent on the screen, exited the screen, then needed to re-access the vent adjustment window to adjust another vent.

Still a good update so both you and your passenger can adjust at the same time.

I could see how that interpretation would be confusing, but no, you never needed to exit the screen to adjust another vent.

I dunno, I feel like it could have resulted in a “pulling the door handle while someone else is pressing the unlock button” situation. A stalemate.

I can see such a thing happening with mi esposa. It would not go well. ?

So this was a very needed change I’d say

This has been a minor annoyance in my current vehicle. If my wife wants to adjust her heated/ventilated seat, then I can't be doing anything on the screen (such as adjusting my seat or using nav), even if the functions do not overlap on the screen.

It seems Rivian is enabling "multi-touch" which is a welcome addition, imo.

I hear that. But the HVAC screen takes up like 90-95% of the screen anyway, so there is still no way for you to do anything non-HVAC related while she is adjusting her vents. There are "Hot Keys" on the bottom right and left that allow for temp adjustment and seat heat/cooling level, though that "button" can only do heat OR cool, and you have to go into the HVAC screen to shift the seat to/from heat/cool mode. As far as I know, these "buttons" have been able to be used at the same time as other functions for a while.

I think this is a multi-touch thing.

As the operator, you're probably only adjusting one of your vents at a time. But what if you and a passenger just got in and seated. One of you draws up the climate screen, and both of you reach a finger toward the screen to move your respective vents.

In one-at-a-time operation, one of you would win and the other would wait. In more-than-one operation, you can both be dragging vents around simultaneously.

Can we get a video of the new vent animatics?

Our truck was delivered with 2022.3.something, and the software update screen doesn't show it as available. Anyone who has updated to 2022.7 -- did you have to do something special to get access to it? I wonder if the updates are going out in a rolling pattern or...
