I just noticed that too, I guess it’s one of those “surprise features”

I feel like I'm fighting with a rubber band every time I turn the wheel now. Same for you?

In summary: they made the suspension feel like a BMW and the steering feel like a Hyundai. Both for the worse IMHO. I'm probably in the minority here... but I wish it was back to when I leased it. The steering feel on the old software was immaculate.

I wouldn’t say a rubber band, just feels heavy. Are you on aftermarket beefy tires?
Personally, on my previous car, I kept steering feel light, and suspension medium-hard, and Rivian doesn’t give me that choice.

Noticed all my icons on the bottom had been reset and rearranged on me - without me doing it.

This morning on the way to work, both screens were black and would not respond to a soft reset of infotainment. Had to reset the vehicle when I got to work.

That’s some Gremlin stuff going on.

If your flash drive fails the Rivian speed test... maybe try the solution below that I posted about in Feb.

" I reinserted my SD card in it's holder a message came up saying something like "setting up drive" and then "testing speed" which promptly failed with a message of "device too slow".

I've been using this particular SD card for over a year now on my R1T and used the same card in my Model Y for a year without issue. Now it's suddenly "too slow" after an update ?

At any rate, I brought the card inside and loaded it in to my PC. Upon examination there was a text file named "benchmark.log" in the root directory of the SD card. When I opened it with Notepad there was just two words in the file "very slow". I then inserted a very fast/expensive USB-C flash drive in the Rivian and successfully set it up as my drive cam storage device. I then pulled that drive out and looked at it's "benchmark.log" file and it had one word in the file "READY".

So I then edited the file in the non-working SD card to say "READY" instead of "very slow", inserted it in my Rivian and it was once again working flawlessly like it had for the previous year.

So, if you had a drive that previously worked, but suddenly doesn't- pull it and take a look at the "benchmark.log" file in the root directory of the drive and if it says anything other then "READY" change it to that, reinsert it and see if it now works again."

We cautiously downloaded .31 a couple of days ago. We haven't noticed any serious problems from the new update. There have been a few little glitches like the numbers of our garage doors no longer appear on the proximity garage door opener on the driver screen.

I have the same issue with mine as well. Can't see which overhead door is which, so I have to just press and see which door opens or closes. Other than that, only other issues was, the music was louder on the right side of vehicle. That was fixed with an infotainment reboot. I now have my camp speaker that keeps connecting to my phone and playing music, if I'm within range via bluetooth. I disconnect from it, only to find it connected and playing again a short time later. Hope they fix this issue with the next update.

I had the disappearing garage door issue as well for the first week. 1st time I fixed it by toggling off/on the location based prompt. 2nd time I performed an infotainment rest and have not had an issue since.

EDIT: false alarm I guess. As soon as I started moving, it came back. Thought they had wiped two years of my being careful to not reset meter B

VD has drained about 8 miles from last night. My icon tray got reset again and the new Tesla charger feature guide is being presented again

can’t get off 31 fast enough!
